It is sad that some kids commit suicide. I pray that they find God and he gives them the strength to carry on. It must be very difficult to have that conflict in your life and in your soul. For one part what you know is natural and common and on the other hand having desires that go against what is acceptable according to others. Although this is hard, critique happens all the time and we should teach our kids to tolerate the critique and not kill themselves just because someone criticizes them. We have to teach them that everyone has a right to have an opinion and voice their opinions and that others opinions are not enough reason to take one's life. In politics one side criticizes the other and that's not a reason for one politician who receives a lot of critiques to kill himself. We Christians are often criticized by a lot of people. Jews think we are sinners, Catholics think we are going to hell. Muslims say to us that we will not enjoy paradise and we will be punished. Atheists mock us saying we are dumb and saying all kinds of insults towards our God. Christian teenagers are exposed to all these critiques, and even their pears look at them as if they are weird because of their beliefs. And that is not a reason for a Christian boy or girl to take their own lives. People who suffer from anorexia and think that they should continue not eating will often receive critiques to their life choices, and not because of it this person should take his or her life. Critique will always be present and we shouldn't try to take away the right of critics to speak their mind. Instead we should help our kids to be strong and tolerant of other people's opinions
