From strictly a betting standpoint, it would be nice to see Mystic Dan enter the Preakness, but I highly doubt the connections want to see him get embarrassed. Muth is going to be short short odds.

He has a right to clear doubts , winning the Derby put him temporary in the top of the hill.

The lure of the Triple Crown will probably be too much for them to ignore. If Mystik Dan is doing well, he will run in the Preakness. McPeek is not afraid to run horses when they are doing well. They key is his energy level in the coming days.

Would not be a wise decision to run MD after the way he ended his last. No way he goes one and a quarter strong going out....because Muth will be a rested beast.

@@italianwaterice9594 I can see him hitting the board. His 17th in the Derby might help inflate the odds. He was 2nd to Muth in the Arkansas Derby and finished in front of Mystik Dan. He is capable of finishing in the money on his best day.

@@MrJenten10 I never said Mystik Dan had zero chance in the Derby. He was not my top choice but I did include him in multiple exotics tickets. I picked Sierra Leone on top in the Derby and he lost by a nose. If you bet Mystik Dan in the Derby, good for you. Play him back in the Preakness if you like him.

@@MrJenten10 No problem. The Preakness field is still coming into focus and we will learn more about Mystik's Dan's status for the race soon. I really hope he runs. The Derby winner should be part of the Preakness field, and if he wins again, things will get really exciting.

Muth will be 3-5 in the Preakness No thanks if I can't find someone to beat him I'll passthe race won the last 2 Preakness's gave them out on your show and other spots as far as this Derby went ran 2nd with SL 4th with CF in a 4H box exotics 2-4-7-8 two win horses 4H 8H lost congrads to Mystic Dan and his connections got a great trip saved all the ground great ride by the jock trips mean a lot in racing as you well know did smoke out the winner in the Oaks 5H and the exacta box with 13H gave that to a few of my buddies who areback east the 17 H Derby favorite did exactly what I thought he did OTB off the board as you know I took a stand against him for a few reasons which I shared on various videos inclosing let me say I don't like the fact that this year's Belmont is going to be run at 1 1/4 Miles the test of champions should be run at 1 1/2Miles like it always is what their doing this Belmont is bogus

If Muth is the strong favorite and looks like the Preakness winner, I will most likely try to find value in P4, P5, etc. Could also play a cold exacta and/or trifecta if that is an option. Everyone wants to run in the Derby and nobody wants to move on to the Preakness anymore. This is a disturbing trend. As for the Belmont Stakes at 1 1/4 miles, it will go back to 1 1/2 miles when the race returns to Belmont Park after construction is complete.

@@JarrodHorak Belmont meet being run at Aqueduct they could of run the Belmont Stakes there and gone 1 1/2 Miles just something wrong with the test of champions being cut back in distance àll sports is ruined in this area not like it use to be nor ever will be if it wasn't for handicapping and wagering I would focus my attention elsewhere

@@charlesbadrock It was a money decision. They probably thought that the Belmont Stakes at Saratoga would generate more interest and I would have to agree with that. I do not have a problem with them cutting the distance temporarily. The 4-day Belmont Stakes Festival at the Spa should offer excellent betting opportunities throughout the week of June 6-9. Field sizes should be large.

@@JarrodHorak I'm just old school it's all about traditions the Belmont is 1 1/2Miles the Indy 500 is 500 Miles and so on nothing against Saratoga I loved it there when I went most beautiful track in the world and Saratoga the town and surrounding areas are beautiful as well and historical as well I was thinking of moving there but the long winters and the bitter cold was a drawback for me even though I'm originally from the east coast I decided 4yrs ago to move back here to Vegas

@@charlesbadrock I understand traditions, but when they opted to do to the construction at Belmont, Saratoga became their best financial option. It is only temporary, just like 2020 when they ran the Triple Crown races out of order and the Belmont was a mile and an eighth. It got back to a normal schedule in 2021, and will be back to traditional distances in 2026. How do you like living in Vegas? We have visited numerous times and always enjoyed it. We we thinking about relocating to the West Coast at some point in the near future and Vegas is one of our options.
