Hi Colleen, It's been a tough day, I just got home from a celebration of life of a friend of over 35 years, I came home, and your vid popped up. Somehow just the sound of your voice helped sooth my raw emotions. Thank you, Peace, Love

This is the sound that carbon composition resistors make when they start producing noise as they age. With vacuum tubes, I’ve often experienced that the tube generates a sparkling noise, which sounds like the crackling and popping of a campfire. Thank you for showing this and explaining how to fix the issue.

Oh, that analog multimeter in background at the start brings back memories. We used Simpsons when I started as a test engineer at Megacorp. We had Fluke digital ones available, but my boss didn't trust them so he wanted us to use the analog ones.

Thank you very much for this tip! I own a Tremolux which fortunately works well - but it is good to know which problems have been encountered and how to fix them!

That's awesome... I was kinda guessing cathode resistors at first. But hey, that's why I follow, right? Hahaha.
@longrunner258Ай бұрын
Lower resistances (as used at the cathode) usually degrade less than high resistances (as used at the plate).

Good to see there is an attempt to get rid of that horrible voice crackle that you were using in videos three years ago . . . that voice effect of women is disgusting .. . I see you are till struggling with that fake voice effect but you are doing much much better at talking normally.
