Great playing man. Can hear the Clapton influence but you got your own thing going on too. Dug the Russian tube better, like the other guy said sounded smoother ✌

Thanks for the video and making people aware of these great tubes. 🙂 I build and repair amps and I sell tubes as well. For the past 6 years or so ive been selling 6n2p and 6p14p tubes. 6p14p are EL84 style tubes that can drop into place of EL84 (Just check the bias to make sure its not too hot for them). 6n2p preamp tubes I sell the standard and the -ev version. I use these in all of my amps, same with all my EL84 amps use 6p14p power tubes. The only place i dont like the 6n2p tubes is in a PI or Reverb driver. PI = Phase Inverter. But these tubes remind me of RCA or GE tubes, and because they are military grade they last much much longer and take a little more of a beating on the road. For years folks rewired their 12ax7 amps to use 6n2p tubes, which is why most people have never tried them. But now there are 6n2p to 12ax7 adaptors that look like a tube socket saver. So to try these tubes in your amp, you just need the adaptor. That simple. 6p14p power tubes dont need any adaptor, just the 6n2p preamp tubes. On amps i build I have a switch on the back to switch between either tube variation. But the adaptors make life so much easier and really open the doors for people to be able to try these tubes out finally in their amps they have always used 12a_7 style tubes in. I have tons of info on these tubes on my website. www.geekarooit.com. Im not trying to sell my stuff with what im saying, but def look at the info on my site about the tubes. Once you know about them and understand them, you will know why I use these and my customers use these. There are good folks on ebay who sell these as well, but just becareful who you buy them from. Read the sellers reviews/feedback. If you choose to buy them thru me is up to you. But that is not why i just posted this info, i posted this so people can be informed and us musicians can stop getting ripped off buying current production tubes. 🙂 The price of 12ax7 tubes is just ridiculous when you compare it to 6n2p's and to me I dont hear why. 6n2p's sound much better imho, i wouldnt use them in my amps if i didnt like them. But over the past few years ive turned a lot of people onto both of these style tubes and not one person has switched back to 12ax7 or EL84's. When they need new tubes they are buying what I put in there. I find the 6p14p tubes sound very open and the amp seems to fill the room better. 6n2p's just have a rounder tone to them than say JJ's for example or Groove Tubes. All of us musicians need to save some cash for the gas tank or food or hotel... not over priced tubes that dont last or sound as good. "Keep on truckin"

Thanks for sharing. Does your switch change the bias between tubes?

The 6n2p sound more vintage - like early Led Zeppelin. Clearer. The ecc83's were more muddy and less articulate.

You need an adapter for tube change?

this amp has an internal switch to change the pre-amp tube voltage between 6 and 12

@@neildenman1776 I was thinking about it... the only diference is the voltage of filament heather?

Yes. You need an adapter as the heaters are in different positions.
