Oh my this video spoke to my heart. I shop estate sales and collect vintage sewing machines. I want to give them a good home 😊 i constantly think about the ladies who loved and cherished them . Thank you 🫂

I love that you cherish the treasures you found, especially knowing they were loved by someone else before you!

Wow very beautiful fabrics❤❤❤ you could make a beautiful skirt with the white fabric and pair it with a denim jacket and boots to make it a casual but very chic look
@SharonSewsАй бұрын
Ooooo, that's an idea I would never have even thought of. I'm going to mull that over a bit more. Love the idea with the denim and boots. Thanks!

LOVE that white silk with black! Beautiful!!

Thanks! It's not one I decided to sew for this challenge, but I will definitely sew it up yet this year!

The bridal fabric would look fabulous on you as an off the shoulder blouse! I also look the patchwork fabric, and your plans for it. I'm thinking hard what I could make this month with my precious fabric. Thanks for a great vlog!

I hope you've decided on your make with your precious fabric! I'm still leaning towards an off the shoulder top as I love those. Since the fabric is soooooo fancy it would end up being a holiday or special event top. Maybe with a gorgeous maxi skirt? Hmmmm... Thanks for watching and commenting !

Ooo love your Zalia .....that might work for one of mine! 😍 Some beauties there !!
@SharonSewsАй бұрын
The Zalia is a great top! I look forward to seeing if you decide to use it for one of your fabrics.

I have an absolutely beautiful silk remnant i bought at Britex years and years ago. I should really pull it out for this challenge and USE IT! Love the pink top. That patchwork print in 2 pieces is really lovely too, even if it might look dated.

From that bridal fabric I’d make a valance for a small window. I’m not a fan of dusters but that’s just my style choice. I’m always hot! LOL oh that last piece with the flowers, wow. I’m going to dig into my stash and get going.

Beautiful last piece!!! Top!

Right, impulse buying 😮

I love all your fabrics and the Style Arc patterns you choose are the same ones I am curious about so it’s great to see a real garment made. The pink silk top is stunning. The bridal silk could be a great shawl.

Oh, my goodness! I have one yard (because it was so expensive) of the beautiful Guipure lace too, bought from the same vendor and before I retired 😂...sounds like you! I must pull it out and thanks for the idea of what to do with it (and comments from folks watching this video).

Twinsies!!! I sewed another fabric for this challenge, but I will use that beautiful lace yet this year! Let me know what you decide to sew with yours!

Ooh I LOVE the guipure lace! I have some with a double border in a stunning dark cornflower blue colour that I’ve always considered to be a fitted classic dress but it just isn’t my style. I have some khaki linen with laser cut flowers that I plan to use for some of the panels in a denim jacket, maybe a summer bolero or short sleeved edge to edge jacket? I also have something similar to the white fabric that is gorgeous, it was sold as dressmaking fabric but it’s too stiff and the only thing I can think of is to make a curtain out of it for my en suite because it’s not very big. Or, a fabric swap would be ideal but I don’t know anyone else who’d come…

I like the idea of a bolero or short-sleeved cropped jacket with the floral lace.

For the Guipure lace make a simple tee such as the Naya top. Simple sew and would look great with. Many type of bottoms. Destash the bridal fabric.
@SharonSewsАй бұрын
Oh, that’s a good idea a simple tee for the Guipure lace. Thanks!

Your bridal fabric? If you dye it, it won’t be white anymore………love your selections. Inspiring.
@SharonSewsАй бұрын
Ooooo, I never thought about that as an option. Hmmmmm....

You want me to use my kids inheritance !! You are so right I would be looking down from heaven( my preference) and watching people fighting over the price ( my kids charge) for my fabric/patterns . eek that would surly send me to Hell lol silk linen and all my beautiful denim ... it needs to be sewn up and still I'm afraid ... hmm need to stay in heaven, my real goal. take care

Make the off shoulder top and get that gorgeous beaded bridle fabric out of your stash. Good luck see you at the end 😊

I know I do to sew it and get it out of here. I still can’t believe I bought it. 😂😂

Is it sacrilege to suggest making a curtain with the bridal fabric? If you have a place for it you could enjoy it every day
@SharonSewsАй бұрын
I love how you think outside the box! They would be gorgeous, but I do not have a window that would work. Thanks for the suggestion though!
@karolmolpus9536Ай бұрын
Yes, duster coat is dated
@aprilgirl4411Ай бұрын
The bridal fabric: I would consider a shorter jacket intended for use over a white tank-style sundress. The 'fringe' may be too much for most of us to wear even, for example, dinner out or to a special event. Maybe that could be cut off?
@SharonSewsАй бұрын
Great suggestion! I think the bridal fabric will need to go back in the closet for awhile, at least until inspiration strikes or the warm weather season arrives again.

I never luck out at an estate sale. My Goodwills never have fabric or patterns either.
@SharonSewsАй бұрын
It's pretty rare for me to find great sewing treasures at thrift stores and estate sales too! That's why it seems even more fun when I do stumble across fabrics or patterns!
