Love the steps in setting up a plane for maiden flight. The mechanical and sub trim first. The checking of cg in flight also. Gonna make me a better ground mechanic and pilot. I have many planes from previous owner who has passed away and never met him. Sure he would not mind I take advise from a professional anyone could learn from . This 31 minute video is one of the best tutorials for rc aviators to share at the flight line.

Great Video Michael & Team. Great training video to explain everything about control surfaces (plus the rest). I will share this to our club web site. Thank You.

Thanks Michael for a very educative video. I will follow your recommendations on my PA XR52 2he the winds calm down. I only want to "defend" the HK/Techone Yak 55. I have two (!) of them -with a single significant mod, wing fences at 5/8 of the wingspan- and they show no coupling at all. I love that plane as it taught me most of the aerobatics I am currently capable of.

All the videos are a must for all rc pilot enthusiasts. *On minor observation, use a remote mic to minimize wind noise. Thank you very much!

Hi Michael, Great video, but I do have a question. Where you check out the CG by flying a 45 deg. upline and do a 1/2 roll, the wind in the microphone drowned out your comments. From watching the video, I assume you want the plane to gradually fall off the 45 deg line? Some folks have told me that it should continue to follow the 45 deg. line and that shows the CG is properly set. However, the don't have as much experience as you, so any clarification would be appreciated.

I try to keep it simple, go inverted, and as long as I dont have to do excessive down elevator (physically on the plane, NOT on the control stick), very minor, then its about right. I just hate to be pushing up the stick too much which tends to mess up aileron movement (if too much elevator correction). Just enough so as not to stall when been inverted.

Nice video. Any thoughts on adding a small section on optimizing where to connect the linkage on the servo and control horns?

Good evening the Elevetor rudder mix is always active or active only for certain manoeuvres? In the case for what maneuvers? Thanks, bye

Dear Michael, sorry for the late reaction. I worked up to this point and took some time :-). There is still something I do not fully understand. If I set my throws to their maximum mechanically possible deflection, what is the value for the throws on the transmitter at that point: 100% or above ?. It would seem to me that in order to use the maximum resolution at all rates, this would be the maximum values the transmitter has to offer. (usually 120%~140% depending on the transmitter). Am I wright ?

Great video however it is spoilt by the fact that when you turn away from the camera you cannot be heard. Perhaps you should consider wearing a mic. I wanted to understand how you check the C of G but unfortunately your advice was incoherent for the above reason.
