That PA XR-61 is gorgeous, that red and white color with a little silver really pops. The Edge 540 has such a presence in the air, looks really big on the ground. I am not a helicopter guy but I can tell you have so much fun with the Tron. I had a roommate in 82-83 who was big into helicopters and that is when there was a big push to get inverted, there weren't many people or machines that could do it but he was one who could fly and hover inverted.

PA graphics are really good, it's one of the things that continues to attract my attention. We've talked a bit about the GoPro as a field camera and how it doesn't do a great jobs showing what I actually see. The 540 is much more impressive in person. It is a big plane. I'm still very much a novice on helis, but I'm having fun learning to fly them. It's a good challenge requiring a different set of skills.

That was a beautiful day to fly and a beautiful sky to fly in. I agree about the PA linkages. I would prefer a linkage adjustment at one end. Don't care for the dual Z bends. But they make great planes!

This year along the central Coast of Florida wind has been a constant so I have pretty much decided I will fly planes that handle the wind well which it looks like will exclude PA planes and other really lightly loaded planes. The KAOS 60 was really good but its gone and I am waiting for it come back in stock. That 540 looks great but it is too costly for me and I doubt if I could get it into my compact sedan.

Look at the Extreme Flight 60" planes. I've flown the Extra 300v2 in some decent wind and the plane wasn't impressed. FYI I'm selling my Kaos. Sounds like you might be kind of close by...

top notch ! - would love to see a tinted canopy on the edge. theres some tamiya spray can for that purpose. sadely i lost my xr52 last year due to pilot error. best plane i ever had. i couldnt fly for the four weeks because of heartbreak-syndrom - but could save the electronics and dropped them in a sebart katana 30e. still waitin for the maiden. like the channel !

A beautiful plane, I am considering buying. (XR-61) I see the leading edge of the wing is unusually sharp, and a thin wing at that. The Addiction has a round leading edge and thicker wing, usually associated with good slow flight characteristics. This difference makes me nervous as I prefer slow flight most of the time. What is your take on this planes slow flight attributes? Thanks, your videos are very much appreciated.

This plane is very light and has a very light wing loading. With a motor in the recommended power range, it has the ability to easily punch out of anything.

HEY JOHN NICE FLIGHTS !! hey I'm rigging out a omp hobby 60' edge 540 , i see you flying (2) 3s 2200 in series in the 61' , what the gram s on your batteries i'm needing a 6s setup too for my. my 3s 2200 weight 169.0 grams that would be 338grams for two of them, i might need more weight
