Exactly, Gamebird may be a bit pricey for some folks but if you learn about how it's built and the easy of maintenance, it it very impressive. They went as far as to identify all common parts by the manufacturer's part number - You don't have to run to the planes maker to find parts like gaskets, wheels etc.

One inaccuracy. Su-29 wasn't designed as a military trainer. It was designed as a pure aerobatic aeroplane.

MT builds certified composite propellers for aerobatic aircraft. Have been doing so for more than a decade. Standard equipment on Extras.

Surprised you didn’t include the Challenger that Sean D. Tucker flies. It’s a biplane and he has an interview where he shows his G meter in the actual plane and it was at positive 11 and negative 7! Definitely more sturdy than the Pitts!

You can't buy a Challenger. That was highly modified and I believe only 2 exist. One is in the Smithsonian....

Very well but only because theyre ultra light and dont have any support for heavy armaments

The planes are very maneuverable but are incapable of retaining that ability while being armed with anything comparable. Additionally the fastest planes on this list top out at 200+mph where as most fighters from WWII could do 400+mph at much higher altitudes. Since the overwhelming majority of kills scored where by sneaking up on an opponent and shooting them down in an ambush, I reckon none of these planes would perform very well in such scenarios.

I'd be very happy with a Pitt's Special Just 4 Gs would probably wipe me out so the rest's overkill anyway Its the one I'm closest to being least unable to afford I like byplanes because as a kid Biggles was my hero And if I can't see what's in front & above because of the spare wing ............. its one less thing to worry about surely?

For less than the price of a BMW 7 series, the Pitts Special is the best bang for the buck, no doubt. My choice would be the Pitts S2-A for pure flying fun. Really, what more do you need?

See it's actually easy to afford expensive stuff. You need to set your priorities right. For example, don't ever get married or in a relationship, don't have kids (no partner means no stupid promises or gifts, no divorce, nk alimony!). Educate yourself so you can earn a crap load of money. Find the best loop holes when it comes to making money and hire a lawyer, just to say safe. And buy whatever you want.
