Ordered the set of Woody's tips. GPR really wears out tips fast and think these will stand the wear and tear.

I have the VIP and although it works great it does mark the paint especially when the clear coat is heated. I sometimes turn off my heat gun and let the panel cool before tapping. Pee wee might be a good alternative.

That’s a good tech tip. 👍. The VIP 3.0 plastic tip I think will help solve that if you don’t already own it.

I have been using all 3 for a few weeks now. They really don't mushroom at all. They will Marr but a quick polish of the tip will take care of that. One thing to keep in mind if you are gonna hit them hard they will shatter. Hit a high spot and it was actually a peice of glass underneath, split the tip. Gonna order some new ones. I highly recommend them for day to day and finishing. But if u are gonna go Thor on them use a different type of tip.

Beginner here the Vip 3.0 knockdown ($80) seems like the best for getting my hands wet. Their "peek composite" tip is only $25. Might need a wide tip (Another $25) and there it is. Pair that with a double bend from Ultra ($90) With 1/2 tip set ($70). Near $300 for a pretty dam good set.

Hey bro hear me out! I’m a National Award Winning auto body painter and I’ve been around the block. The ONLY thing I do not have in my Arsenal of tools is a “good” PDR collection!!! BRO... you nailed it with the killer whale tail and now these tips! I’m just now getting into PDR for my own personal desires. A lot of the GOOD useful tools are mad expensive yo lol... my guns cost big bucks too but you don’t need as many guns as you need rods. But ima subscribe and see more of you.

Great video. You explain the why and the how a tool is used. I think dent on dent is out of business. Not sure where to find this gear now.

Yes. A plastic called peek. But this could be even more stronger than that.
