Jesse Ventura was delighted to find out from the wardrobe department that his arms were one inch bigger than Arnold Schwarzenegger's. He suggested to Schwarzenegger that they measure arms, with the winner getting a bottle of champagne. Ventura lost, because Schwarzenegger had told the wardrobe department to tell Ventura that his arms were bigger. Classic Arnold lol

@@famyemil Arnold loves to fool around with everybody from what I hear. He's from everything I've ever heard very personable, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. I think a lot of it comes from at one point he owned and operated a brick company so he's been a regular worker he doesn't look down on people.

Personally, the best part about this film is how mysterious the Predator itself is. Aside from surface stuff like appearance, equipment, skills, and personality (all of which are revealed late in the film and through subtle means), we get to know next to nothing about it. And since it’s such an interesting creature, you want to get to know more about it. It really makes you wonder what kind of world this is and how it came to be. Such a brilliant film.

Fun fact, the guys they got to play as all those extra Predators were the 1989 LA Lakers. Kevin Peter Hall, the Predator himself, was friends with one of the players Larry Drew and knew that Danny Glover was a Lakers fan. So Kevin asked production to bring them on board. It's also the reason why the film's budget spent is a little higher than it should be.

Jesse Ventura is a Vietnam veteran. I believe he was a navy seal. The reason why it feels like a realistic portrayal is because he was giving his input on how to do it better. Fun fact: When Arnold stabs the guy and says the line "Stick around" that line was apparently improvised. Another fun fact, when trying on outfits for the movie, Jesse Ventura realized his arm sleeve was bigger than Arnold's, being so proud of this he challenged Arnold to see who's got the bigger arm, knowing that his was bigger. However, Arnold had his outfit sleeves smaller on purpose, when Jesse showed him his arm Arnold revealed his arm true size. The loser of the challenge was to pay a dinner to the winner, Jesse Ventura payed Arnold dinner that night. I might be mistaken though in all of these, as I have no way to prove it, but it's what I read.

The fact that Predator starts out with a balls to the wall action sequence before the real plot begins just shows how innovated John McTiernan was as a director.

The action movie where 2 of the stars went on to become state Governors, and a third actor also ran for office but lost. Arnold in California, Jesse Ventura in Minnesota, and Sonny Landham (Billy) ran for Governor in Kentucky but lost in the primaries.

To me Predator is still the best classic action flick to date. I was lucky enough to visit Winston studios back in 98, and see the original Predator suite, including all the artwork and sketches that led up to the final design. It was amazing, an experience i'll treasure forever. Thank you Stan Winston and Kevin Peter Hall for creating my favorite character of any film.

The slow pace at the beginning. The action took its time to start. We got time to get known the characters. There was time to envolve a bond to them. Iconic lines, iconic scenes and the music that elevates every moment to the next level! At that time movies have their own soundtrack! It's a masterpiece hands down. I felt that as a kid. That's why I hated part 2 with Danny Glover. After a bunch of "only show, no style" action flicks, I started to like it! That's is good directing too but nowhere as good as the real one! Thanks for the vid Guys!

I think it was Roger Ebert who said that the film starts like 'Rambo' and ends like 'Alien' but in today's Hollywood that's creativity.

but yet seems they fail to realize its based on a classic story from 1924, which has had more versions of it made than almost any other story. well worth the read, and once you do, you'll see how so many modern movies reference it

I actually still haven’t seen Predator in its entirety, I really want to though. But I remember the first time I ever saw anything Predator, it was this one. My dad and I were just channel surfing and he turned this on, we got into it over half way in. I think Arnold was actually the only guy left when I watched it. And I kept asking my dad questions, “Whats that thing? Why is that guy covering himself in mud. Is he gonna be ok?” And my dad was explaining everything about the Predator, it sounded so cool! What a good memory.
