That's a strong water pump/engine.... the amount of water coming out that hose and pressure is more than enough... you could drain an entire lake , well not sure but definitely 20 of those same size pools in one shot with that engine/pump I guarantee it.. we used to pull water from water canals onto a water truck using an older water pump of around same size as yours in order to fill a small reservoir that the company that I worked for built inside a 6 acre lot. It took lots of trips from lot to the water canal using a tore up water pump that never gave up... that was years ago. I think about it now about the power these little can produce and the different things you can use them for. Anyway good review

If it can fit through the metal screen on the end of the green suction hose then the pump will move it. The screen is meant to keep anything that is too large from getting into the pump.

A few years back, I purchased a Predator 212cc water pump from Harbor Freight, to pump recycled water to my yard. I used it for 6 months during the warm season, and it developed a fuel leak where the fuel tube goes into the tank. I stored the unit in my garage so this was not acceptable...fumes, water heater. So I did not even try to fix it, I sold it on C-list and purchased a 50 cc Honda pump. Used it for 3 years with no problems.

@StormWaterDrainageSolutions Жыл бұрын
Good question, I think it would also depend on how far it’s pumping the water and if it’s having to pump it up hill or down hill. So hard to say because of all the variables. But what I can tell you is that with our experience with using it to only pump down swimming pools, with roughly 100ft of hose and the water is running down the homes driveway (so it’s going downhill) I have had it use a full tank in 4 hours. That was one full day we pumped 4 separate pools down with it.

I am buying one of these this coming weekend to pump water from my lake to my garden. I'm stoked about it. I have a question though and hopefully anyone using this pump can answer it. I'll have a nozzle on the end of my outlet hose. If the pump is running, is it ok to close the nozzle and shut the water off for a short amount of time now and then while the pump is still running and my intake remains in my lake or will it cause a pressure issue with the pump? @GameOn082710 ай бұрын
The distance doesn't matter as much as the elevation. If it's 100m downhill, that's no problem. Gotta check how how high you're wanting it pushed and compare that with the specifications for your pump.

@StormWaterDrainageSolutions2 жыл бұрын
Yes the green hose has to be stiff. It is used only on the intake port of the pump. If it were to flexible the suction generated by the pump to pull water through would cause the hose to collapse in on itself and water couldn't cycle through properly. Hope this makes sense!
@dansherwood13992 жыл бұрын
@@StormWaterDrainageSolutions What happens if the screen gets plugged up with algae from a pond and it can't suck in any water but the pump is still running? Would it damage anything if the pump is running even if the system is still filled with water but not allowing the water to flow through?
@StormWaterDrainageSolutions2 жыл бұрын
@@dansherwood1399 Algae shouldn’t clog it, we have used this pump in some really nasty pools and the screen has never clogged. But yes water needs to be running through it while it is on so the pump doesn’t get burned out.
@pixelupdates7041 Жыл бұрын
I didn't buy it because that hose is so stiff. I need to be able to maneuver the hose around into corners and stuff to suck stuff out. I went to my local rubber and gasket place and they have EPDM hoses but a 25 ft length with fittings is over $400. This thing seems to be good for moving water but not necessarily for cleaning things out.
