I LOVE the idea of running a full predator bag. Still on the fence about carbon fiber. With that said, I have trouble justifying that break cues cost. That's a LOT of money for a break cue. While I admit, the break is a very important shot(some argue the most important).... I've been doing fine breaking without such an expensive break cue for my entire life in billiards. Personally, it's easier to justify a high cost on a great playing cue. Can't say I wouldn't be happy to have one. Just hard to justify its cost.

One way to justify the cost of these cues, hold their value more than anything on the market- you can play with them for years and sell them for 80-90% of what you paid. Thanks for watching. Thanks for your comments.

I’m still a new player. Played for decades but have only been serious for the last two years. Love carbon fiber. Doesn’t nick, is always smooth, stiff, and never changes from shot to shot. I still like maple but man it’s hard to play with it after using carbon. Anyway, it’s personal opinion but keep an open mind and give carbon a serious try for a month or so. Throw a shaft on a butt you like, sell it after if you didn’t like it.

I don't... and really can't doubt your word!!! As "the period of time" to evaluate is much longer than most "review & comment" on any channel. When you evaluate, YOU EVALUATE --- and yep, you said you would... but only in time. Glad you're happy with it ( :) and it kinda shows)!!! Awesome equipment to have. Be Safe

Thank You Brian for this video. I just got the Predator P3 with the Revo Shaft from watching your videos, Love this Cue, like WOW what a difference shooting Pool, thing is I've been using a cheap Breaking Cue from a local store, not been happy breaking a rack. I'm ordering the Predator BK Rush after watching another Great video of yours. Thx for all your acknowledge on shooting and equipment.

I did the opposite of you. I first bought the BK Rush about a year ago. Within a few weeks I knew hands down it was the best break cue I've ever used. I was sold on Predator and followed-up about 2 mos later with the P3 bocote. Been absolutely pleased with my decision ever since. Good shooting, bro.

Tried to draw the ball back the other night...miscued n skipped the cue ball...walking back, I realized I had my BK Rush in my hands, not my P3 Revo! DOH! I use Mako Punch Acrylic tips...Clear n shape like leather and hold chalk amazingly well. Got a chance to pick up the BK at a steal n yeah I keep a "Break Journal" for practice n I can SEE the difference in percentage of balls made. Great cues!

While I do like the bk rush and this is in no way to downplay its great hit and feel. I break with the mezz power break G, and it's simply amazing, I think you should give it a go

Would be cool to see you throw the jump revo shaft on the rush break butt. Always wondered if it would be more powerful having a thicker diameter and harder tip.

They have two different shafts and two different mounts. Nothing good would come of it anyway. Those shafts are optimized for specific purposes.

I got a chance to break with this cue, smooth as silk. As one person above said, it is a bit pricy ($800-$850 from what I saw), but it’s a lifetime investment. I can see why it’s the pro tour choice.

My black and blue BK Rush looks just like my black and blue Predator Sport 2. They look the same. I put some red electrical tape on the butt near the joint so I could spot the difference more easily. On another note the shaft from the Air Rush fits on th BK Rush. Even with the bigger shaft and harder tip it doesn't break very good like the BK Rush shaft.
@FXBilliards
@FXBilliards Жыл бұрын
Yes, that jump shaft is much different than the Rush shaft believe it or not. Since they serve, totally different purposes, I’m thinking it might be lighter.

Hello Brian, if you could kindly reply. I’m about to pull the trigger on the BK Rush. Your review help heaps to give me the confidence. However, I don’t understand the difference with the BK3 and BK4. On the official website, they are cheaper than the BK Rush. Can you kindly explain?

I fully agree that it's the best break cue out there!! I snagged the dark grey one with the rubber wrap. 19.5oz now, but gonna drop it to 19.0oz. Brian, any thoughts about a video covering just the various available breaking tips?
@FXBilliards
@FXBilliards Жыл бұрын
I tend to only use tips that come with the cues. Regardless of the manufacturer, I haven’t found the brake tip that works better than what usually arrives with the cue.

It would be the one break cue I would invest in for a very long time! I just want to make the right decision. It appears your BK Rush is your “go to” break cue and you didn’t mention BK3, BK4. Then I get confused when you say they are outstanding. So should I get the BK Rush vs the BK3/BK4? Please advise. I’m new to billiards. However, I believe in having good equipment and only concentrate on improving my skills… I guess some would say the best equipment can’t help if you can’t play well. I like to know I have the best equipment and it’s only ME that needs to improve from practising often, and watching tutorials and back to practising….

I’m sorry I have a BK rush actually two, and don’t have any experience with the BK four. But I used to break with a bk 2 - The main differences is the rush is carbon fiber, which is why it’s more expensive and it’s going to last longer and probably break better. I’m primarily carbon fiber only these days.

@@FXBilliards I’m grateful for your replies. It really shows how passionate you are when it comes to billiards. I fully agree that the BK Rush is the better investment in the long run! Initially, I was adamant I had to wait for the limited edition gold, then after seeing that you still kept the black, I have decided to go with the black. It’ll be easier to maintain and I don’t have to worry about accidental dinks/scuffs showing up more clearly in the gold or any other light color!! The local dealer happens to have 1 last piece of BK4 and BK Rush. I’m getting the Rush today!! Thank you again!!

Do you have any videos on the second ball break?
@FXBilliards
@FXBilliards Жыл бұрын
I don’t really approve of the second ball Break -most amateurs. Miss use it misplay it and it doesn’t really benefit them in the long run, so I tend not to teach it. but I do have a video called how to break an eight ball where I talk a little bit about it.

@FXBillards Hello. Whats Better .. Break and jump Cue 2 in one or Break and Jump cue individual ?
@FXBilliards

The individual cues are going to be much better, but take up more space in your bag and cost more money.

Is it okay to buy a break shaft and attach it to my old playing butt ?! I have playing cues old ikon and new p3, my idea is to just buy the bk shaft to save alittle money and save cue space. What do u think?! Is the butt of breakshaft different from playing butt?
@FXBilliards
@FXBilliards 5 ай бұрын
I did that with my original BK brakes shaft 15 years ago -you can do it, but you will lose some of the technology in the butt of the BK rush. For most players is not gonna make a big difference

I finally made up my mind and pulled the trigger on a BK Rush. Wow! What a stick! It weighed in at 18 oz. and I'm loving it. My only trouble is finding the sweet spot to break from. Currently working on cue ball control as I slowly increase the power. Most breaks getting 5 balls to the other end of the table with CB in the center.

But... It has no soul!! Where are the pretty grains and warm touch? Actually watched a video from years ago where Earl Strickland said a cue needs deflection. Of course, that video looked nearly thirty years old. Glad to know those checks finally came in the mail. You certainly make better use of that cue than I could. God bless!!
@FXBilliards
@FXBilliards Жыл бұрын
I’m pretty sure if I was earl Strickland I would want a cue to have deflection, especially back in the day. The funny thing is that 99.5% of the people who saw that I have no idea why he thinks that. I saw the same video. Thanks for watching.

So you're saying there really are no major differences between the two Predator BK EXCEPT the new 'gold' color? I wonder how that is reflected in the price?!!
@FXBilliards
@FXBilliards Жыл бұрын
There is no difference in price, but even if there was, it would make a lot of sense. Even the color of a car could change the price. And quite a few cues have wide ranges of prices based only on the design. Nevertheless, the price is the same.
