Doing to same thing now on a 30 ton splitter. replacing an LCT 208cc. everything going smooth until the key you mention to not lose, went sailing into the lawn. Now to Harbor F in the morning. Ooops stop the press! didn't wait to see a key comes with it. also need to get the bolts. Awesome work Thanks for your video

Thanks! I would definitely recommend doing a swap, it was so much easier than trying to figure out issues with the old motor. And it still starts right up no problem. 👍

I have the same engine on a trash pump. It can sit over a year and start first pull. Stupid reliable!

Yeah it is surprisingly reliable! We’ll see as time goes on, but I’m pretty happy with it.

Ha, i've done this before myself. Only needed a bunch of washers to use as a spacer.

Hey Bud, I need a new motor for my wood splitter. Do you have any trouble having your hydraulic pump mounted that high above the oil reservoir? Any cavitation problems in the hydro pump? I have an older Huskee 35 ton with a vertical shaft Briggs motor. I thought about buying Predator motor with a horizontal shaft. I thought that I would have to lower the motor mounts and pump for better suction to the hydo pump....? Have you had any problems this at all? Thanks

Never had any trouble with that or any cavitation issues. As long as there’s plenty in the reservoir. It seems so draw it up fine. Just make sure all the connections are tight. After doing this one I say do it 👍

@@SteddieProjects Thanks for the reply. I new Briggs motor is 700.00. I need around 300.00 worth of parts for my old Briggs motor... It still has good compression, but it's 20 years old. I think tomorrow I'm buying the 13 HP Predator motor. Everything will be new.

Very informative engine swap video. Lots of repair videos on your channel, Are you up for a collaboration? Hipa supplies parts for small engines and maybe we would work together to help more people in the community.
