I do think it's possible that the 3D Mario team releases both a new 3D Mario and Donkey Kong for the launch year, considering how long it's been since their last fully new game with Odyssey and using these years to work on more than 1 game for around the same time. The 2D Mario team managed to release Pikmin 4 and Super Mario Bros. Wonder in the same year

Nintendo often like to reserve some sequels for new console generations. It's entirely possible this will be the case with ARMS2 and similar IP for the next nintendo console. Also, I think Nintendo are looking to release some Donkey Kong stuff. That might just mean a compilation of games and a new entry. There's already rumor of a DK movie, and they probably want a game to release along side with the film.

Luigis Mansion was 2019 and the studio Next Level Games releases a new game every three years, 2022 was Mario Strikers Shallow League so 2025 for Luigis Mansion 4 on next gen

At this point it feels like 3D Mario is a sure thing. I’m stunned we haven’t gotten a Mario odyssey 2 on the switch. It feels like they barely scratched the surface of what you can do with Cappy. Mario Kart 9/Nintendo Kart for sure as well. Those two games in the first year are all you really need to ensure success but I wonder if these games will be cross gen. I wonder if Nintendo will do cross gen I feel like they should for games that aren’t power houses. 3D Mario should push the new hardware but Mario Kart doesn’t necessarily need to.

I actually wonder if Nintendo will even feel the need to upgrade their next console’s power beyond what people imagined a switch pro would do. And make ALL its games cross gen. You say it all the time and I agree, we're well past the "everything looks fine" bar for graphics.

I think it's spot on that the rumored DK game will be a launch title for the next system! Probably next 3D mario coming too, but after giving that DK title room to breath.

That's what that team has been working on, and then the DLC that is mentioned. The next game will be X, not the number everyone else is calling it. Plus, it's more marketable. Unless you're Elon Musk. 7: I wouldn't say that exact game, and I hate the series now that it's CoD style, but I can't disagree with the overall sentiment. Not for the franchise mentioned, but for the OTHER one that team is known for. I've had this under my tin-foil hat since seeing Ignatz' gimmick in Fire Emblem Warriors 2: Couples Counseling. I mean, the story gap has been there since the first game just begging for a trip through the Omega Engine 5: Don't worry, Sock. I too hold nothing but respect for MY president. Though seriously, as someone who's actually in all but 1 of that dev's series' fanbases, we know what their next game is already. It's just a matter of finding out if it was in-house or also outsourced to Koei-Tecmo. It's a remake, to those who are reading this after watching the video. 4:Yo, Thicc Triangle dude, there's an entire KZbin series by the director of this game where he flat-out said it can't happen cause he doesn't have the team for it anymore. Plus, in that same episode, he says he wasn't fond of the team that made in the first place. Difficult to work with due to the "adhoc" nature of it's creation. It's why the developer doesn't exist anymore. It was made to make one game for one system. It's frustrating, but it's the horrible truth. Now Namco, however, DID have that job opening a couple years ago... 3: Me too, buddy. Me too... 2 and 1: One of those is happening first year, guaranteed, but I must make a quick correction because the voices demand I do so. The team mentioned for both of these games did NOT work directly on the mentioned Wii U port in the 2 segment. That extra content was actually done by Nintendo Software Technologies (NST). Yes the guys that made nothing but Mario vs. Donkey Kong for 12 years, actually made THAT. If you're surprised a team known for 2D puzzles made that game, they were the lead devs on Nintendo's "eShop Indie Trilogy" for the Switch. So there's that to consider.

5:36 minish cap doesn't need a remake it hasn't aged badly like a link awakening. I think oracle or a far more known and loved zelda game a link to the past remake could be next

I will say some left field of games series I have not fully played that much. Sin & Punishment 3 and Custom Robo I think this would be games that couold be new big hits in the west just like what happened to Fire Emblem.

@@ATalkingSock Oh yeah I think a new Starfox game would be made based on the new systems tech. SF SNES for the SFX chip. SF64 with the Rumble Pak SF0 For the WiiU Gamepad And so on.... Funny that they never made a game for showoff the Wiiromote's capabilities. It could have been so good.

Tbh, Gen 5 is one of my favorites, but after BD/SP I almost don't even want a remake of it lol. It's just not worth it to me unless they're gonna do it right.
