What HR says is true, that the big 3 will end their careers between 2026-2027, they only have 3-4 more years to go (counting on this obviously). Now, given the circumstances they have to empower for the next generation and the one who should take the lead is Jonnathan Kuminga because he has everything it takes for a superstar player in the future, also considering the other youngsters that are Moody, Tracy and Quinones. You also have to consider the young-veteran players like Wiggins, Looney and hopefully Gary Payton who may be at least 6-7 years older so that they can consolidate the team well. I would have liked Poole and Wiseman to have stayed, but for reasons of life in the NBA, sometimes one cannot be sure of what can happen later.

I'm having doubts about J. Krause being the main reason for Bulls breakdown. Wouldn't be too surprised if owner J. Reinsdorf simply didn't want to pay even more (and Bulls had the biggest payroll already). Decisions about team future definitely involved ownership and it should be on Reinsdorf rather than Krause. Similarly with Warriors, they will get another year, but in my opinion it won't be better than 22-23 season. After that it will be just too expensive too keep the core together. Curryless NBA is like when your best friend moves to another city.

Reasonable timeline assumptions until you get to JK being the "ONLY" hope of the future Warriors. True, JK has tons of potential, and Draymond should put his ego aside and interact with his team mates "as men"; but even that might not keep JK from wanting out. No one person is the future of a dynasty. If the status quo remains, Klay, Draymond, Wiggs and Loon (IMO the most UNDERPAID player in the NBA not under a rookie contract) JK and MM and others on short-term contracts will remain after Steph's retirement, and so will Joe Lacob, the ownership group, Mike Dunleavy Jr., and Steve Kerr (unless he chooses to retire) . But it's fun predicting 🔮I'll put it out there that TJD will start playing before all star break, Lester Quinones will make it to the bench, then to the court, Gui Santos will learn control and get noticed, we'll draft a 7ft center, and CP3 might STILL keep playing just so he can out-dance Steph. It could happen. 😎

You know Stephen Curry has played less than 1040 games counting regular season and playoff game and he is a young 35 year old so I believe he has a good 5more years of All-NBA All-Star season left. As for the Warriors as long as Stephen Curry plays well the Warriors will be NBA Championship Contenders. And remember super stars like Kevin Durant, Chris Paul and yes a 40-ish LeBron James know playing with Stephen Curry gives you a 75% chance of making the Playoffs (6 Finals in the last 8 years) and a 50% chance of Winning an NBA World Championship (4 Championships in the last 8 years.) And sitting on the bench for a rest and watching Stephen Curry light up the opponents must be a wonderful feeling like damn I am so glad I do not have to guard him! 😅

Good take except for the MVP Caliber bit, Steph finished 10th in voting last year and 8th the year before. Great player still? Yes. But his MVP days are behind him
@isaacjohnson7573 Жыл бұрын
@@jhonjhonson3242 that doesn't mean hes not MVP caliber. His individual play is MVP caliber but he's not in the talks because of team success. If he has a top 3 team next year he will pop right back into MVP talks
@jhonjhonson3242 Жыл бұрын
@@isaacjohnson7573 Fair point, I will agree that his play is better than his results, but even with that considered he is still outclassed by other players such as the Joker, who along with putting up an MVP caliber season lead his team to the first seed in the west. Despite his undeniable skill, Steph just can't carry like he used to
@isaacjohnson7573 Жыл бұрын
@@jhonjhonson3242 to be fair Jokic is a bad example he is almost unanimously recognized as the best player in the world. While steph is recognized as top 3 with Jokic and debatably Giannis being the 2 better then him. I also don’t entirely agree he can’t carry. He single handedly won them the first round and made the 2nd round pretty competitive even if it was in 6 games but Jordan poole and Klay put up all time stinkers that round
@jhonjhonson3242 Жыл бұрын
@@isaacjohnson7573 I'd say Jokic is a good example, because thats what it takes to win the MVP, being the very best. Additionally, Jokic was in a situation in 2021-2022 close to what curry is experiencing now. The nuggets were just holding on to the 6th seed with Jokic hard carrying, so it's not impossible for a lower seeded team to have a player win or be in the talks for MVP that year. With that being said, you do bring up good points about their being better examples than Jokic, and also about Curry's performance in the playoffs. I should clarify, Steph can'y carry like he used to, but he definitely can still put the team on his back like what he did in the 2023 playoffs. Additionally, while I still think there is value to be had in a Jokic vs Curry discussion, you bring up a good point that it is unfair to expect Curry to preform at the level of Nikola, arguably the best in the world. Players like Giannis or Embiid would be more apt comparisons. Overall I still believe Curry is unarguably a top 5 player in the NBA and deserves to be at least considered in MVP Discussions, I just think he has to work a lot harder to prove that he is still a top 2 or 3 player in a way he didn't used to.
@Yoyoy08 Жыл бұрын
I mean if Kerr actually develop and play more of the young guys this season then the core wouldn't need to play too much and that means they can extend their years of playing in the NBA...Kerr really heldback young players esp JK...if this season JK doesn't flush and play meaningful game every game then I'm not sure this is the right coach here to develop young guys

Eh. One season at a time is enough for this Dubs fan. 2023-24 looks interesting. We have the core. They're good. We have Looney and Wiggins to round out the starting 5. Those two are good, too. Darned good. If CP3 has gas left in the tank - I suspect he does - the second unit has one of the most skilled leaders who ever touched a basketball. The guy knows this game. Last year, my fondest wish was for Poole to emulate Paul; now we have the actual guy. I like it! Paul will unlock other guys on the squad, I expect. Kuminga should have a blast. Moody should be ready for more minutes. The other guys are no scrubs. The Warriors are a bit short on centers, but I think they can get 'er done, barring injuries. I'm not superstitious, but I'll be avoiding sidewalk cracks once the season starts! J/K.
