Predictions: Edexcel IGCSE Maths A Summer 2024

If you are gearing up for your Edexcel IGCSE Maths A exams this Summer, then this film is vital watching.
Through careful analysis of past papers, including those not publicly released, I have generated my exam predictions.
Yellow topics are those which come up on 40-60% of papers - I would expect each if these topics to feature once across the two Summer papers.
Blue topics are those which come up on 70-100% of past papers. I would expect these to come up at least once, if not twice, across the two papers.
Green topics are those which come up at least once if not twice on every paper - these topis are key!

Hi. Bearings often comes up in questions involving the sine rule and the cosine rule. You should expect at least one question on this across your two papers, I reckon.

Hi. Thanks for your question. No one will know what the grade boundaries will be for May until they are released by Edexcel which will be after the papers are sat. But, looking at the previous grade boundaries, my best guess is that for a 4 you will need about 40 marks out of 200 - so an average of 20 marks on each paper.

Hi. No. 142 in the percentage column means that the probability of the topic coming up on any paper is 142% - ie I would expect it to come up at least once on every paper. Does that make sense?

Another question though, is doing past papers from the past 10-12 years for maths as well as 8-9 topic questions in just 2 weeks helpful enough for me to get an A*/9 in my maths IGCSE? So, you might like to look at my Grade 7-9 IGCSE-type papers, which are here: mrwrightigcsemaths.com/mr-wrights-grade-7-9-igcse-papers/ . Alternatively you may like to check out my past paper club (mrwrightigcsemaths.com/past-paper-club/) or, if you prefer to work independently and want a more bespoke service, then my Get Exam Ready Paper Past Paper Practice might be what you need (mrwrightigcsemaths.com/get-exam-ready/) . I wonder if any of those options are helpful?
