My nasal polyps swelling caused me to lose my sense of smell. Prednisone brought back my sense of smell within a few short days. I’m worried that the effects will return again, as I am almost finished the two week course of the steroid. Will try the ginger root thing.

My Doctor just gave me a prescription of prednisone for anosmia. I'm scared to take it. I thought I heard you say you lost your taste and smell? How long did it take you to get it back? I'm going on 4 weeks now and I cry almost everyday.

I have had anosmia for a year and a half also due to polyps and have off and on been on pregnesone. Everytime i take it I get my smell back but shorty goes away after stopping the medication. Thank you for this story I'm going to try the ginger idea

@@PrednisonePharmacist I've tried drinking lots of water and staying away from fast food. I'm on 40mg a day and the side effects is making me very sick 😞.

After using prednisone and xhance my smell and taste came back within 3 days. it was great for about a month and had to discontinue the nasal spray due to csr. now my senses are gone. i guess the polyps are back. will try ginger now to see if it gives me relief.

for polips, you have to stop any dairies like milk, cheese and so on.

I was in ICU last August with Covid. Never lost my smell or taste. When omicron came out my smell changed. Garlic and onions smell like sulfur. Gas/fuel smells horrible and chocolate is nasty. I have budesonide and prednisone from last year. I wonder if it’s worth a shot¿ it’s been 5 months.
