Prednisone is a steroid used for inflammation associated with many disorders like bronchitis, asthma, gout, sinus infection, ulcerative colitis and atopic dermatitis. It is converted into prednisolone within the liver. It is given in various doses like 5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg.
