I was working in a record store in a sleepy little seaside town in Maine when “Two Wheels Good” was released. It was one of the first CDs we played in our new player, and I immediately became a HUGE fan of this band. I turned a LOT of folks on to them, and I honestly still listen to the album to this day. Thanks for the upload!

When I first heard "Bonny" I knew this was a great band. His voice and the harmony of the band are astounding. I rushed out and bought the cassette hoping they weren't a one-hit wonder only to find out it's not a bad song on this album. Took me a while to start liking "Desire as" but it caught on. So many great songs over the years like " Cars and Girls" and "I Remember That" are classics. Great songwriting.

See Spandau Ballet, or Bowie's backing singers at Live Aid...same year as this, 1985. Loose fitting satin/silk, gloves, brooches, bangles, pearls, was the trend. Wendy Smith's outfit here, is comparatively understated.

@thomasmc14043 жыл бұрын
Out of curiosity what’s their other good song?
@trevordistance41703 жыл бұрын
@@thomasmc1404 It could easily be any of the following: - King Of Rock 'n' Roll (silly, feel-good pop; more than likely what the OP was referring to). - Cars And Girls (again, solid pop, but with that wispy wistfulness that they do oh-so well). - Bonny (stop-start, groovy pop with wonderful production). - Looking For Atlantis (again, rock-solid, driving pop music). - Wild Horses (I'm biased, but the song I was singing to myself, out loud, when a teenage crush walked around the corner, made eye-contact, and floored me). - We Let The Stars Go (Come on... I mean, if you don't have a moment like this to look back on, don't you wish you did?). - Doo Wop In Harlem (a personal favourite, as the song that allowed me to connect with how I felt, as a teenager alone in my bedroom, the night of the first time I knew someone who died). Find fault if you like, but be prepared to surrender a part of your soul in the process). And yes, I'm still in love with Wendy Smith.
