The way you take care of your equipment really is impeccable my friend . It always amazes me how well groomed the farm is as a whole I mean it's one of the nicest , cleanest farms I watch . They are all clean but man yours is very nice . God Bless all of you 🙏

It really is a nice looking farm. Eric and his Dad, and I suspect the previous 8 generations, take a lot of pride in their farm, their livestock, and their equipment and it certainly shows! At the cost to replace parts and equipment in this day and age, and as acidic as manure is and therefore hard on equipment, it’s a necessity to keep things clean if you expect to get long life from your investment. A little maintenance goes a long way!

xD the montage of trying to fit the wrench to the bolt at 8:45 absolutely sent me xD I work as a bike mechanic, and while a few modern big-name brands have standardized bolts and tools, my shop sees bikes of all brands from as early as the 1960's and tons of Walmart/KMart bikes which are anything BUT standard! The eyeballing, sizing, resizing, resizing, WHERE'S THE ADJUSTABLE?! is so relatable!

Watching all of the crud come out of the skid steer is refreshing to watch. Looks great after a good washing out. Love the " metric adjustable" wrench lol. Pretty cool sign. Great video and thanks.

Glad to see you can start working on the yard of your house. May want to rent a power rake for your skid steer once you get all the top soil in place. We’re really interested in the management side of the dairy business. The geekier the better.

You would think that everything runs open all the time, with how quickly skid steers get so dirty! The way skid steers seem to hoard dirt and dust and whatever else they can find has always amazed me, even when I was working in construction we were cleaning our stuff twice a week sometimes just because the Texan red dirt down here is so hard on filters

I’ve found that blowing off with compressed air prior to a wash really cuts down on time/water used. Much easier to move dry dirt than wet.

Good maintenance is key ! I agree with the Hydro oil....You routinely maintain the filter and add here and there... You get enough oil exchange doing so...... I'm sure the manufacturer wouldn't mind selling you more oil though...

Once had a truck with a side mount oil filter. Found that putting a baby diaper right under the filter would catch all the oil when taking off the filter. A whole lot less mess in my engine compartment. Always used the cheapest diapers I could find.

I agree with not changing the hydraulic oil as often as change stuff on the front you'd never get all the old oil out, changing the filters much more important, dab of never seize on the threads of those bolts would help get them loose. Like the adjustable metric wrench set! Lol

Use a little bit of rubber grease of filter seals and orings. Stops them swelling and filters becoming over tight. And hard to remove. I'm a desiel mechanic all I use. Oil makes the rubber swell

You need a barrel dolly before you rupture or hurt yourself. I’ve moved many many barrels and without a dolly they can get away from you very easily. On changing hydraulic oil, if it has a burned smell change it.

Eric your house is looking real good they getting anywhere inside the house yet? Wow , I would of used a power washer on the fork lifter . I figured you have a small garage lifter so you can lift an go under to drain oil and stuff. The farm is looking good . Can’t wait to start seeing farmers plant fields. That is a neat sign and how thoughtful of them.
