i really hope this isn’t overstepping but it’s really inspiring how open rose is about her miscarriage. especially the fact that she’s now pregnant again and i know that’s sometimes hard for those who have lost a baby in the past. it can’t be easy but it’s so amazing how positive and open you are about it all. i’m proud of you guys. obviously it’s not positive all the time because that’s not how life is but it must be so wonderful for people to look to these videos and feel less alone.

When rose was talking about the baby hopefully having the same characteristics as ziggy I honestly think that it’s not all about DNA, everytime I see ziggy he reminds me of rose, he acts just like her, because that’s his mummy too and who he was raised by. I think a lot of the time the way kids act is nurture and not nature which is so special 😊. Can’t wait for baby number 2!!

I’m so sad I missed this! I would’ve asked about being pregnant/a parent with OCD. I know you don’t really suffer from ”Pure O” anymore, but as someone who’s really struggling with intrusive thoughts I’ve convinced myself that I’ll probably never be able to have kids. Which really sucks, because I really want to. But I don’t think my mind could handle the anxiety. Anyways, I’m so happy for you and it means more than you’ll ever know to see this kind of representation. Queer mama here, my partner & I have two sperm donor babes-all the way in like you two on open donation-our children deserve all the information available as they knit together their identity and grounding in the world!!! (And maybe do a planned induction with a spinal block-did that with both my babies-this offered me control over the when/where/how of delivery without the incredible limitations postpartum on my body that a C-section would bring-lots of work for the non child bearing parent-not to mention the increased risk of complications that csection presents-whatever you choose however, it’s your body and you get to decide what is best!!) so happy for you both!!!😘

On what Rose was saying about not being sure if she could claim being a 'mom' before. I think what the feeling may have been is that motherhood is often seen as this journey tied to the biological experience of being connected to a newborn, and since you didn't experience that in the traditional way with Ziggy, you weren't sure if you felt like a 'mother.' But with this child, now both you and Rosie have the experience of 'motherhood' so you feel like there won't be that distinction between you two, even if you had the experience with different children. So the roles won't 'change.'

I think it is because Ziggy is more attached Rosie. Natural mother and son bond. Through conception to birth to breastfeeding. Rose is not his mother. She's his parent. But can't be his biological mother. It's a bond that is hard to break and shouldn't be. That's just the way it is. And it is natural for Rose to want to be a mother too. Once the children are both older it's likely that Rose and Rosie will feel like mothers to their non bio children. It takes time. Raising them both for 16 years and beyond and they'll love them both as if they had given birth to both of them. Dad's feel the same thing often. Like they are not loved by that child But once the kid is older they feel well not like a mum obviously but more of an equal parent. Infants tend to cling to the bio mother till about 3 or 4.

In Spain you can't choose the donor, they choose it for you according to your own features (like skin tone, eye color, etc)...and it has to be annonymus. 😕

Vaginal birth woth epidural is probably the easiest. Look into that. Recovery after C cection can be hard and painful. Vaginal birth was quite easy for me. You can always change your mind (if it’s elective in England?)
