OMG! That hair cut was the best thing I've seen in a long time! I was cracking up. We've had the same 2 "barn cats" for 19 years. They are black, when they were kittens our toddler packed them around and spoiled them. They were fierce hunters but, when we would whistle for them, they would come running, jump up in our arms, and instantly purrrrr. They are now senior citizens and for the last 2 years they have lived in the heated shop. My favorite thing about you two is that you live your lives on your terms. More power to you! Elsa, your'e looking adorable. Pregnancy was my favorite time in life. Barron is the best loving guy you could ever ask for. **so many "that's what she said" opportunities in this episode. 🤣

I really like the tile! I love your home and am so excited for your new addition to arrive. I wanted to mention that my mother-in-laws cat knew the night I went into labor. She did her Siamese meow and insisted on sleeping with me. She woke me up when my water broke. Our animals are very intuitive to us.

A cat will often be found in a hospice setting etc for comfort and they will always intuitively lay with a patient that is about to transition ...or a cat again... intuitively will lay on or across your body in an area holding pain or concern!! A headache they will lay around the top of your head a foot hurting..curl on your feet etc!!!

​@@ElsaRhaeI wanted to add that when I was pregnant I had a 4-year-old Belgian Shepherd and she was My girl. I mean we were connected!! So as my belly got big she would lift up my shirt with her nose and stick her nose in my belly button and sniff. It was like she recognized the connection of the umbilical cord. It was absolutely The most incredible experience I've ever had with an animal So I would pat my belly and tell her this is your baby too!! When my son was born I brought him to her before we even went inside. I needed to let her see, smell and kiss her baby....she definitely became his 2nd mommy!! As he got bigger I never worried about him running the woods because she was always there right by his side. That was her baby 🐾❤️

Elsa I know that you feel uncomfortable about the animals being around the baby, but believe it or not as a baby grows that's the best thing for them, the cats and dogs usually find babies very interesting and most of them will even cuddle with them too. When cuddling animals stop they get very confused and can even become depressed...but HOPEFULLY everything will work out and the animals, baby and future children will all bond beautifully. You both have a lot of love to give...think everything will be great ❤ Shower looks great I love the rock.

@@fififirestone3787 They were always meant to be outside cats to help curb the pack rat population. Now I'll admit it looks like they've settled in quite nicely at this point, but they aren't being cast aside because of the baby. I'm not going to judge how Barron and Elsa go about transitioning them to be fully outside cats (I'm a dog person), but I do recall Elsa stating they will have shelter outside as well.

@@francesmalzahn9994 The cats don't know or understand that they were meant to be outdoor cats. All they know is that they feel connected to these humans, even sleep in their bed. It's cruel to cast them outside now, for any reason. Why treat the dogs with such love and care but not the cats? Cats form emotional connections and have needs for closeness just like dogs. Animals are here on earth with us, not for us. These last few vids hurt my heart and I can watch.

@@fififirestone3787 Yeah, I"m not okay with this either. I've lived with actually feral barn cats before--my mother's family were ranchers. Most of them weren't particularly friendly, and they were tough kitties who loved to hunt. But this was also in southern CA, where they were not subject to extreme climate...another issue with throwing these cats outside. Fact is, these cats of Elsa's are bonded pets. Not feral cats. They may still go outside during the day to hunt--I even have housecat pets who keep my basement free of mice--but they are still pets, clearly. This is what happens when you get people who don't understand cats just thinking they can be useful tools. Dog people, basically. They would not treat their dogs like that--fact.

I grew up with cats as well as dogs and they were my best friends as a child. Especially, my mother's sweet cat snuggled me all the time when I was a baby and she was always super protective of me, right to the end of her life when I was 15. I still miss her.

I love watching the anticipation of the arrival of your new baby. It brings back so many memories. Our first was going to be born on The Farm in TN. We were living in CA at the time & drove there a few weeks before our due date. There was a lot of chicken pox going on at the time so we decided to drive home to PA. We were there a day when I went into labor! I’m 70 now but I’m young at heart. So many memories to be shared! You and Baron are going to be wonderful parents. I can see how in love you are…. that love begins at conception! And grows and grows! Praying for an easy birth…. You’re going to do just fine Elsa! May many blessings await you both!🩵

Elsa i hope youre not changing their litter box. It could cause you and the baby to get sick. I would ask your doctor about it if i were you. My doc told me not to change litter when i was pregnant with my son, she said the poop has some kind of chemical that could make me very sick. I have loved every video y'all have made, especially when y'all crack up and dofunny stuff. It cracks me up! I started following when i was searching for tiny living spaces where i could travel and see the country. Your youthful but goal oriented attitude got me from the get go. It motivated me to buckle down and save every penny I could to reach my goal of traveling. That dream changed drastically when i lost my legs. But I took it as I needed to change how I was going to reach that goal and reset my mind toward a different vehicle, a 7 window bus with a wheelchair entrance, but with a different type of lift. I have considered a box truck with a bigger pass through door and a passenger seat delete to fit my needs. There are SO many possibilities with many designs to reach my goal. Thank you for giving me the kick in the butt to get it done. Barrons book is so full of info that it blows my mind! Happy holidays y'all!

Yes the disease they carry is called toxoplasmosis and it blinded my husband for over 2 months now. Being a plumber he had to crawl under houses where cats lived in the home but they wondered outside and under the home. Lesson learned🙂‍↕️

Your pebbles in the bathroom are awesome by the way!! I have had pebbles in a bathroom before. They tend to feel funny under your feet for a while but it’s so nice!! We used the exact same tile for our bathroom. After almost three years the tile still looks great and easy to clean. Soft water will help w cleaning so you may want to look into water softener sooner than later. Just a thought.

You’re doing a FANTASTIC JOB IN THE BATHROOM!!! I used the same stones on my diy shower. They make a clear sealer you paint on the stones and grout to seal them against stains and dirt. I strongly suggest you seal all tiles before you use them to avoid mildew and mold and cleaning challenges.

The shower tile is absolutely beautiful. Good choice! Barron's hair turned out great. You have many talents and cutting hair is right there at the top. My son would like me to cut his hair, but I'm afraid I would butcher it. All he wants is a buzz cut, but I'm still hesitant to try it. I am getting so excited for your baby's arrival. You guys are going to be fantastic parents. I like that you're more laid back and not so strict about everything. In the past, I was a bundle of nerves and got anxiety over everything. Sounds about right. The first three years after we bought our property it was non stop. We got really burned out and this year have taken an impromptu slow down. Projects have been on an, as needed basis, mostly. Still have a mountain of things to do but the big stuff seems under control for now. The rest, we'll get to the rest eventually.

My son used that same tile for the floor in his shower. Works and looks great and no it isn't hard for them to keep it clean. I like the texture on my feet when I use it. And with the kitty one thing I've noticed with my male kitties they tend to be more laid back and need snuggles more. My females are independent tend to be loners as they get older. The males tend to need "mama" more and for longer. All of ours are very social with us they tend to avoid non family people and they hunt again our females tend to be the bigger hunters though the males do to. They are all fixed I have 10 they sleep in the barn when they want too. They range in age from 13 yrs to 10 months. All are rescues. They are a great asset. The decisions you make for your family, land, and home, are unique to you and you are writing your own story whoever feels they need to impinge on your story probably isn't happy with their own story. Keep up the good work and don't feel you have to justify YOUR decisions. I like seeing the differences others make in their stories I might not like it for mine BUT it gives me a different perspective but I don't need to disparage or tell you your wrong since for you it works and that's what matters.
