i had a miscarriage this june 2th at 10weeks. now im 32weeks pregnant, but i still remember how scared i was when the pregnancy test came out positive again. My husband didn’t know i was taking a test because it was first time trying again after the miscarriage. He heard me crying in the toilet and kept knocking and asking me whats wrong. when i opened the door i just showed him the positive test and asked „im scared…what if it happens again?“ He smiled at me and pointed at our 2 years old „are you afraid of someone who will be as cute as her?“ he obviously knew thats not what i meant but that was his way of saying what happens once doesn’t mean it has to happen again. I was very scared to go to the toilet for like 14 weeks…afraid of seeing blood again. At 16 weeks i felt the first kick when my daughter put her head on my belly, thats when i started to enjoy the pregnancy and believe that everything will be ok this time. And here i am at 32weeks and having an even better pregnancy than i had with my daughter. I had no problem at all.

OMG I am a 70 year old RN and your story is my story. A string of losses, never sharing with others so less support and then two successful pregnancies that I couldn’t enjoy without anxiety & fear. Less on my second. My advice is to share feelings with a professional, eat healthy, exercise, be healthy and include a good prenatal vitamin with folic acid. Be around positive people. Avoid negative people. Try to be happy and enjoy this happiest time of your life.

I could not agree more about telling your inner circle sooner. I lost my fist pregnancy after 10 weeks and we had been waiting to tell our families in person. Going back to work and carrying on was very difficult without a support system who knew about the pregnancy and the loss. Next time, I will definitely be sharing with those directly around me much sooner. Thank you for sharing your journey. Glad it ended with healthy babies for you 🤍

Thank you Dr. Crawford for this video. I started following you in December when I was in my second trimester which I miscarried at 17 weeks and 5days in January. I only told a friend and my work family were not aware until I told my manager letting her know that I miscarried and she was so shocked to hear that I was pregnant.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. It must've been so hard on you. I had an early miscarriage a year ago, I remember having to go to the gynecologist for my mom only a few days after and it hurt so much to be around pregnant people right after losing my baby. Alhumdulillah I'm 5 weeks right now, it took me a year to conceive again. I'm trying to not let stress and anxiety get the best of me. Thank you for this video.

My personal experience by telling friends was omg I am so sorry, you will get trough this, you will be fine... all my friends have already kids and I think they cannot understand the anxiety thinking may go wrong again or that I am scared it will never happen to get pregnant again :(. I think it is good to talk about this and to open yourself but only with people who experienced this, they know how you really feel
@MichelleMonge2 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily. I told my two best friends who have had miscarriages and they didn’t help me work through my miscarriage. It may be because it may trigger their past emotions from their experiences. I’m currently seeing a counselor. There are great online communities, especially on those pregnancy apps where you can get the support you need.

Since having one recently, I’ve found an entire community of women who’ve experienced loss and miscarriage due to this and of course the additional risks and complications associated with molar pregnancies. I had never heard of it before experiencing it and feel like such a unique and challenging type of miscarriage should be talked about more! ❤

I 1000% get this.. I’m almost 30 weeks pregnant and still have horrible anxiety with stillbirth. I could not imagine working around women having babies while I myself am not only yearning for one but having trouble staying pregnant. I have a hard enough time seeing women pregnant or with newborns raging in every day life. It reminds me of what I want so badly, but it seems so far out of reach. 22 cycles and 2 miscarriages in the last 6 months. Taking 8 vitamins, trying not to stress, exercising, concerned about ph, and worrying about what I'm putting in my body and how it's affecting my system and why it is my body isn't doing what it's supposed to do and has already done. I feel very alone, but I know more women have the same issues than I realize.

@kee-tu4cq2 жыл бұрын
I had to switch to Zoloft (from 2 others I was on). While none are 100% safe I was told it’s considered a “safer” one. For me off meds I’m completely agoraphobic and suicidal (I also have severe PTSD) so the risk to baby (and myself) would be a lot higher for me to be completely off psych meds. Definitely work with your ob & psychiatrist ahead so you can figure out what’s right for you. Also one of my previous meds was very high risk to baby so I had to be completely off for 90 days before trying.

Because a lot of early pregnancies lead to loss (miscarriage in the first trimester) so Drs wait for the pregnancy to be further along (around 10 weeks) before seeing patients or else they would see way too many patients... At least that's how it is in Montreal Canada
