There’s a woman in the news right now (in Australia) who is supposed to get a heart transplant, but refuses to get vaccinated for covid-19. The doctors are refusing to do the transplant because of that. Big issue. The whole thing about freedom of choice to not get the vaccine versus other people’s right to not put themselves in danger or pump money into a person who is a danger to themselves (refusing to be vaccinated).

Probably didn't know she was anti-vax until they were having a baby. And I do feel bad for this woman. She fell for the anti-vax propaganda and hard. At that point it can be really hard to get a person to come around to seeing reason. She has ever right to refuse vaccination or transfusion, but once they baby is born her opinion is only 50% of the choice... her husband has every right to want HIS baby vaccinated and in an age of science and free access to information I suspect the family courts would side with the father and mainstream medical opinion that the baby should be vaccinated. Sounds to me like she'll be divorced soon after the birth and all this could absolutely be used to prove she's an unfit mother and give the father full custody. My only defence for the mom is that sometimes the maternal instinct can turn in on itself. The need to protect your unborn child turns many outside sources into the enemy: just look at all the news we see about FDA recalls on food, products said to cause cancer, and now tons of “proof” about vaccines being deadly. The mom is the only defence for them, combine that with months of fluctuating hormones & irregular sleep patterns and it’s not surprising how extreme pregnant women can get. FYI: dads can too, more freaking out & noticing all the dangers their child will be facing.

Anti+vaxers drive me nuts! My mom turned into one when i was around 2 or 3 so i didnt get most of my baby shots (i know i had the polio one & one or 2 others but whatever). She made sure i knew that the entire 7th day adventist church was anti-vax. So she finally got old & died & my now husband wanted to take me to australia (his homeland), so i went to the pastor of the current adventist church i was attending to get a written letter escluding me from any vaxes to go to another country. “Why? We aren't an anti-vax church. Ellen white was all for it.” I looked it up & yeah, she was there when the smallpox vax first started. Ellen white was apprehensive about it & waited for otherw to get it first & then she & her whole house got it too. Soooo mommy dearest just deliberately read the first part & ignored the rest. Thanks mom for nearly fking up my life! Currently working on any vax i need & yes have not one but 2 Covid vaxes as well.
