Spinosaurus also appears in Zoo Tycoon - 1: Complete Collection and Dino Digs. It's design bares some similarities to the Teen Titans' version, but it's light green, it's jaws were shorter, it somewhat had the kangaroo-stance and it's name is mistranslated as - "Thorn Lizard" in the animal's bio.

So the basic thing with the red Scorn was just the toyline. In the Age of Extinction toyline they made all the Dino bots far more colorful to presumably help with sales. Grimlock was copper, Slug was purple, Straffe was blue, Snarl was green, Scorn was red, and Slash was blue. And then for the TLK line they did all the Dinobots in silver and grey except for Scorn who they kept red and just added weather effects to

I love the thought of giving dinosaurs unnecessary, impossible, and unrealistic abilities. Like the disrespectful dilophosaurus or pyromaniac parasaurolophus(that one meme image). I’m imagining one of those realistic documentaries like Prehistoric Planet but it’s just straight up a troll with the narrator super seriously narrating a tyrannosaurus sneaking up on a triceratops and the triceratops just straight up starts spewing magma at the Rex and kills it

Speaking of Ceratosaurus (or Stegosaurus and couple of other dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures, if you happen to make an episode about them in the future), there is a Czechoslovak movie from 1955 called "Cesta do pravěku" ("Journey to the Beginning of Time" in the US). I wouldn't be surprised if you never heard of it, but the depictions of dinosaurs are pretty nice. Heavily outdated, of course, given the age, but the puppetry and modelmaking is very good.

I recently found out that Digimon has some cool looking dinosaur mons that resemble their namesakes, such as Parasaurmon, Allomon, and Spinomon. This is in stark contrast to the mons from older generations like Tyrannomon, Triceramon, Tuskmon, and Greymon, which are more based on Godzilla and Ultraman kaiju.

6:34 fun fact: Quadrupedal spino has not been officially debunked by any paper, its just that spino could also walk on 2 legs, so it could be a faculative biped like a hadrosaur.
@jacobcox4565 Жыл бұрын
I don't think it's likely Spinosaurus was quadrupedal. It's front limbs and fingers wouldn't be strong enough to carry so much weight. It doesn't matter how long its torso was or how short its legs were, as long as its center of mass was at its hips, it's bipedal.
@christosdoesthings Жыл бұрын
@@jacobcox4565 Theres literally no confirmed spinosaurus arm material aside from an un-described, half-broken phalanax so idk where you got the whole "the front limbs wouldnt be strong enough"
@jacobcox4565 Жыл бұрын
@@christosdoesthings Because what little material there is doesn't suggest they'd be bulky or load bearing.
@christosdoesthings Жыл бұрын
@@jacobcox4565 it suggests nothing as no analysis has been done on it, so a faculative biped spino is viable speculation.
@seanmckelvey6618 Жыл бұрын
@@christosdoesthings sure, it's a viable speculation. However, it's also kind of an extraordinary claim given that no other theropod dinosaurs seem to have the ability to move on 4 limbs. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and as you stated we don't have that evidence. Until we do, it's safer to assume that Spinosaurus was a biped like any other theropod.

2:15 The first dinobot figures were not completely accurate to the film and were painted with brighter colors to distinguish them more. They do have some of the toy colors in the film but more darkened. Scorn was given a single sail for his first figure to make the transformation and packaging a little easier. But a more movie-accurate figure was released later on with the metallic color and three sails. The manner in which he transforms is based on Beast Wars Megatron(who was a t-rex), where the right arm forms the dinosaur head, and the left arm forms the tail.

For the Transformers side of the video. When Age of Extinction toyline came out, all Dinobots had quite vibrant colors: Grimlock (T. Rex) was brownish, Scorn (the spino) red, Strafe (two headed Pteranodon) blue and Slug (Triceratops) purple. They looked like a Power Rangers team. In the movie, they are all dark metal grey with just very muted hints of the toys colors. The Scorn toy you showed is the first smaller toy produced (which later got recolored in movie like dark grey colors). For the next movie they did a bigger one, with actually his three sails, still all red. I don't think there are any more Spinosaur transfomers after him. The cancelled Velociraptor got at least a G1 inspired toy afterwards, but Scorn didn't. EDIT 2: just found out Transfoermers Cybertron had Undermine who transformerd into some kind of Spino.
