The intervals must be murder. Almost as if someone could make a harmonica and reorder the holes to play classical stuff. But there's also an element of 60s drama reruns when I hear harmonica and it's melodic. Like Benji is going to show up running across a field.

No you need a chromatic armonica

You have to play diatonic chromatically , but It's not simple.
