I bought this CD when it was released and recently revisited it. I forgot how stunningly brilliant it is. Standing the test of time well.

I heard this as a small child. And about 35 years later. I found it

I was at this taping, it was awesome. After he played all of Heaven and Hell and thanked his all the guests, he came out on piano and played Hometown. It was fantastic. I don't think it was videotaped though.

Crazy cool song! My fav of the whole CD. Never expected I would get to see it performed live, maybe not in person but this certainly will do just fine. GREAT STUFF!!!

Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg playing violin, seated next to Jackson is awesome. She is a top-notch solo classical violinist.

love this whole album. this video bothers me bc I can hear the bass guitar but the camera only shows the cello and other strings
@Radharc6 жыл бұрын
HI Michael - the bass isn't real; it's sampled and MIDI'd. I'm confident that the majority of the instrumentation is a backing track with only the vocals actually being performed live.

@@Radharc I'd say 5-8% is backing track. I think your selling the musicians way short

Did he just break a BOTTLE OVER HIS HEAD 8 minutes in? Am I the only one who saw that?
@retropolis14 жыл бұрын
He did. And he also did it on every Gig of the live Tour back in the days.i attended two of the heaven and hell concerts ( which were half playbacked with him and two other musicians playing the rest live). On the second concert, the Overhead lights were so hot that the bottle ( which is made out of sugar) broke at the neck in the exact moment he wanted to swing it to his head, so the Body broke loose and nothing Hit his head... Joe didn't realize it and wondered what happened. That was a funny scene
