Although there are a few technicalities I can quibble over on this, this video is probably the most accurate explanation of the subject of premarital sex and the bible I've seen on youtube. A couple of things I would add to this topic though. The scripture has an equivocation of fornication and prostitution in 1 Cor 6:13-16, so don't do that either. Also, those who wish to use the scriptures to condemn the obvious excesses of "hook-up" culture are probably better doing that under the term "chambering" in Rom 13:13 instead of the more extreme topic of fornication. As this video shows fornication has more to do with idolatry than the actual sex act. I am reluctant to refer to anyone living today as an "apostle", even so I do appreciate the poster's point of view in this video and wish him great success.

@@misterbobby8913 ask yourself, if god said those who are faithful to me will be like strangers near the end of times. Who are the strangers? Those who fornificate or those who abstain? Those who are following the teaching that have been taught for thousands of years or those who twist to fit the narrative of today? Those who understand that this life is a test and has much suffering but god is with you or those who expect this life to be heaven on earth? Like you know the answer your not an animals, have some self control and dignity.

This is a true teaching. Don't know if the guy is an apostle or not, but I've come to this conclusion by studying the bible using the Blue Letter Bible app. Seeing the original texts helped me better understand verses.

It is true; I keep this belief to myself because I don’t want to be judged by extreme Christians. But fornification is defined as porneia which is defined as prostitute male/female, when people say things like lusting after a woman is committing adultery? Do they even know what adultery is, it’s going after someone who is taken; not some random single girl you have a crush on. It really irritates me how no one can see that this whole sex before marriage is a doctrine that’s been MADE UP. In the Old Testament this false teacher liked to point out the verse about of a girl is not found a virgin on her wedding night she will be stoned to death; well yea she lied to their family and the family bought her for a big price. Honestly it has nothing to do with sex before marriage; if ur treating woman:guys like sex idols before God or trying to get a sex high yea that would be an addiction and sin: but there is NOTHING wrong with sex before marriage, I hate when ppl don’t look at the context of everything. People like to point out David’s psalms or whatever but that’s because he was going after a married woman! It wasn’t just some random single woman. Yea there are consequences of sex before marriage; but putting a whole limit on it brings a whole lot of other problems too: I know one of my really extreme Christian friend said she wants to save her first kiss for marriage and how even making out is a sin? Like I don’t get it. That’s why I like to stay away from the church ppl they just make a lot of things into what they’re not and end up doing other crazy things too.

It's kinda like the "masturbating is a sin" group who just wanna implant there own theology into biblical text, without recognizing the context of what was culturally or exegetical present that time.

That only applies if the person you have sex with is married. Look up the real meaning of adultery.

@@GentlemenJack109the bible is written by spirit for spirit. Adultery to our Father is being with him and then choosing to live another way without him. If adultery was only between married couples how is it in Revelation God calls a country a whore? Really think about it. Hes calling the believers there out and stating they have him the true Father, and they abandoned him to take up a way that has no good no peace no truth. They were dying inside. The bible is not written by man for men. It was written by those that were brave enough in the day to fight off devil possession. Just like Enoch. Then the fallen angels would tell men about the one the Creator that they could not speak to. Thats how the bible was written. People in churches think that we spoke to God the whole time but we have not. He and his angels with the power of Christ overcame those things and bound them, destroying the bodies of those created and taking away from our sight those things that can overthrow us. Until the day our Lord returns and on that day they will answer for all they have done. So dont be fooled. 1Corinthians6 the entire chapter explains how it is a sin. The old testament of the bible is death. The ten commandments are for those that are evil. If you are living the law of Moses you are living an evil life. Bec God put his law in us that believe its in our hearts just like his word is in us that will let him speak. If you are for the Father then why did it bother you to hear that sex is a sin? Didnt he bless Abraham and Sarah when they were a hundred years old with a child? If he did that then and they did not have the spirit of Christ. Imagine what he is doing now through us if we listen and we have the spirit of Christ. There is also two creations in Gen and two heavens opened. Did you ever catch it? Do you know why it happened?

Jesus said; He who looks at a woman to lust for her commits adultery. Therefore, either single or married, looking at a person lustfully commits adultery. To look at lustfully is adultery.

What if they breakup after sex then it becomes a sin because marriage is like an oath to each other. If the couples breakup then they will go to another partner.

Right. And just like in the bible, there are causes for those who divorce to remarry. Similarly, if we are being honest, both men and women remarry just the same as others move on to a new partner. I am not saying it's right. I am saying its what's practiced.

This is hard to understand when nobody is being led in spirit. Adultery is anything that takes you away from your soulmate. God is your soulmate you take him everywhere. He has met your family your friends and been everywhere with you. Because he supports you so well just like a great husband all you want to do is share the news and tell everyone how good you have it. Even so its like a child that loves you so much all they do is get excited abd tell everybody how awesome their dad is. Eventually they come knocking and we can take them into our house and everyone can have a great relationship. Being loved the same given great and perfect gifts and being protected. Never having to worry because he is faithful and believes when we go to work we will speak those good things to show others what true love is. He is giving everyone time to come knocking. He wants everyone you know and love to come knock to. We just need to stay faithful to him in that spirit and know that if we talk to him about everything and believe he is helping us. We will have all that we could desire and more. He wants for us. We should want for him

Jesus said; He who looks at a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her. Therefore, either single or married, looking at a person lustfully is another form of adultery. To look with lust is adultery. Therefore, that includes watching pornographic films. That one verse that Jesus said does not require study. The Bible though it requires study, it is also direct and simple. Don't complicate.

Adultery is not fornication. Adultery is when you’re having sex with multiple partners. Or when you sucumbe to your desires of having sex with someone who is married or who haves a couple.

Your teaching is actually off. All teaching from the Bible emanates from Torah. Torah describes what is sexually moral and what is not. You can find a list of sexually ok and not ok practices there. You are correct that the common understanding of sexual immorality is not accurate, particularly that fornication is not directly listed as sinful behavior anywhere in the Bible (sex between unmarried people). However, adultery was something else. Adultery was having sex with a woman married to another man (whether the man was married or not). Men in the Bible were allowed to have sex with many women. If a man was married, and had sex with another unmarried woman, that was not adultery in the Bible. Your video is mostly accurate though, but misses key important things. You are correct that sex outside of marriage is not directly condemned Biblically.

@@ronniefarris8561 the word for fornication is "pornea" which more accurately translates to "sexual immorality" which would have been referencing what sexual immorality was in previous revelations such as Torah. In Torah, sexual immorality would have been a list of sexual behaviors that were not ok, such as male homosexuality, bestiality, etc. When he is saying "flee fornication" he is referring to "pornea" which does not mean fornication. Remember that the Bible was not written in English.

But the reason it does fit is because if you have sex with someone and they aren't for you to be with you then Satan puts a wonder of why or it causes you to focus on the person you are with and no longer go to God so he can continue to lead you in life. God witnesses all things by living it with you. So anything that you do that hurts you hurts him. But if you are hurt and don't go to him to take it away and you live with it or you become wrathful and seek a way to get even. The sin is from you after you chose to go without God. Any way we do things is bad. But if we go to him to bless it by prayer and we let him bring it to us then we cant sin because its blessed. Look in Genesis when Adam was hiding in the garden. This means he withdrew from him because his heart was ashamed. Then when talking to him he asked how do you know you are naked he said the woman. But remember if you are walking with God you are talking to God. So she was being tormented in her head by the devil. Thats why God said bring her here. Because she was not focused on God. When Adam reminded her she prayed and God spoke to her. So that was the lesson about sexual sin. God did not teach Adam to fornicate. He was leading his life. If you go to Revelation 12. The whole thing describes how Satan tricked Eve into having his offspring by possessing her and she went to Adam then she had Cain while Adam had Abel that is why Cain killed Abel he was influenced by Satan. But read in Genesis up to when God spoke to Satan then go to Revelation. Thats why sex is bad. God wants a relationship with us and we are sacrificing all the ways of this world to be with him in the next life. Remember its about Spirit we cant see God or the Devil but we can see the outcome of living for either as other people walk. I hope this helps understanding. Thats why God is so forgiving because we cant walk and not sin unless we are connected to him. Thats why he said in all things pray and involve him before doing anything we dont know how each other believes and someone could have a spirit that causes us to get hurt or become angry or even begin to doubt God. To prove it God gave Sarah a child when she was past age she was a hundred years old. Who banged her and how did she get pregnant? Even her husband Abraham was dried up. That proves right there if you have God you will be given all things we just need to do the work he puts us to do give him the glory and be not afraid to speak what he gives you for your situations and problems.

No, fornication is having multiple partners, using prostitution, having sex with animals or relatives. That’s the meaning of fornication in every passage of the bible.

I am 22. I'm single. I don't watch porn or masturbate so I understand what many are feeling having a desire that they cant enjoy. I just want to make you all know that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you Philippian 4:13 which includes being completely abstinent until marriage. You are not the first Christian to struggle with this. You wont be the last. Many have comprised but many also have embraced the path of holiness. The real question is do you love God enough to put aside your sexual desires in order to please Him? If not, you are making your sexuality an idol. Jesus said if any man follow after me let him deny himself, pick up his cross and follow me Matthew 16:24. In Matthew 22: 36-38, He said the greatest commandment is to love God with all our heart, soul and mind. He said in John 14:24 that if you love Him you will obey His commandments. He said in Matthew 5 that lusting after a woman in your heart is adultery. If you are serious about your relationship with God, you will continue to be abstinent until the marriage. God has your back, and speaking from personal experience He is able to keep you from falling Jude 1:24. Just abide in Him and you will bear fruit John 15.
