Grace restores our souls not necessarily our earthly feelings & daily lives. There’s a reason why sexual immorality is highlighted over and over again as a sin to avoid-it cripples us. The man doesn’t know what he’s talking about. There’s a difference between sexual purity and spiritual purity. Sexual purity is found in abstinence and in a God ordained marriage that is monogamous for life. Once a person loses their virginity, they do in fact, lose their sexual purity, unless they lose it by way of marriage that is scripturally right. You can never undo your sexual mistakes you can only repent of them and find forgiveness and you will always have to deal with your bad choices that you made in the past, and yes they will affect your marriage going forward if your spouse isn’t up to par with your former lovers in which you will gauge them on. If a woman has been promiscuous and has been with multiple men and she married in the church and he isn’t as fulfilling to her sexually because she discovers he isn’t as capable as her lovers she had in the world, she is going to struggle with that lack of fulfillment because of her promiscuity. This isn’t her husband’s fault this is her’s for her life of promiscuity. She may make him feel insecure about himself and then she will blame him for his lack of confidence and see him less attractive and less of a man all because of her past life of promiscuity. These are problems that men and women who have slept around before marriage bring into their marriages. Sorry it’s just a reality. God’s way is the best, celibacy unto marriage both for the man and the woman and then monogamy during the whole marriage until one of the partners die. This is one the main ways to keep a fulfilling sexual marriage. These are some of the issues that she will bring into her marriage because of her life of sin. This is why God’s way is the best. Again this man is off. He is trying to link sexual purity to spiritual purity. You can be spiritually pure after coming to Christ and remaining in Him, but once you lose your sexual purity you can never get it back unless you enter into a scripturally correct God ordained marriage and remain faithful to that partner for life never leaving the marriage bond to find sexual fulfillment with another physical person.

This video was great! I grew up with that same wrong church mentality ever since my youth group days. I am now 39 years old and God is beginning to uproot that wrong thinking. It is a painful process because I am not a virgin, having had multiple girlfriends and an ex-wife. I just recently met the most amazing God-sent woman and we are in a wonderful relationship, but she too has had a sexual past. Thank you for this perspective. I'm on the opposite path and I'm struggling with trusting my future partner. I've kept myself chaste throughout my life and turned down a few opportunities in high school even to just date and I'm now 24 and I expect my partner to be chaste as I am. But the likelihood of that happening is very slim with the current dating market and on top of it, I don't know if my future partner could be hiding that from me and lying for whatever reason since that seems to be a trend nowadays. Sometimes I think maybe I should just get it over with and lose my virginity just so I can be on the same playing field as the rest of the market but I don't want to sacrifice my morals. I think that’s not what he’s trying to say. Hes breaking down the lies people made saying that you save yourself by being aBstinent. Nowhere does it say “stay a virgin and you go to heaven” BUT it does say our bodies were bought with a price so we must respect it. But does that mean if we have sex before marriage you’re no longer pure? No. It means you have sinned against your own body. but Jesus is the only way to save a sinner from the sin. John 8 when the adulteress woman was thrown to him. Jesus did not condemn her and call her impure and she has no salvation. Instead he said “Neither do I condemn you. Now go and sin NO MORE”. So once you are aware of your sin you must stop. Allow Jesus to heal. You can not save your self by being a virgin. But it is wise to stay abstinent. Not everyone can though. Have you read Genesis 20:5-6 ? It's a good scripture about innocence, and also for someone who has had sex before marriage, I believe that God can restore the innocence of a person.
