Hey, great videos, could u do a top 10 or 20 Ex-Yu stadiums? Or Balkan stadiums? They're mostly old and beaten but have some charm to them... overall football infrastructure here is bad but that makes for a great video, also Croatia made it to the 2nd place last WC, and we don't even have a decent stadium.

I’m a season ticket holder at Southampton and have been to Leicester’s stadium as an away fan multiple times. The difference between the 2 stadiums are… - St Mary’s has a nicer brick and metal exterior facade, whereas the king power has ugly bare concrete covered up with flimsy canvas. -st Mary’s is bigger - at st Mary’s, you can walk around the perimeter of the pitch at ground level. At the king power, you can’t -The KP has newer, bigger, clearer big screens (although the ones at st Mary’s are to get replaced soon - and finally the exits that connect the concourse to the stands are higher at the KP compared to at Mary’s. Overall st Mary’s is the better stadium. But yes they are VERY similar

cheap joke about Elland Road, but it also points out the main problem with this type of superficial ranking: the real meaning of a stadium is on game day. and nowhere do the fans make as big a difference as at Leeds. hell, they make a big difference at half their road games.

I was lucky enough to have been to Stamford Bridge, Bernabeu, Nou Camp,Anfield, Old Trafford , the Ethiad and Emirates. The athmosphere in Anfield and Old Trafford are the best. Nou Camp when completely full is amazing as well.

Whats the population i England? Like 55 million? I the US its 330 million give or take. So it's more comparable to just the state of California, which has a population of 40 million. the whole of Europe i thin has around 700 million. Hey that got sidetracked pretty fast! My initial point was, what would a top 20 stadium look like if it was only in california(+maybe another state which has 15 million people). The biggest stadium in England is missing from this bc it's a national venue, Wembley holds like 90.000, and is a fantastic stadium.
@eriklakeland38572 жыл бұрын
@@Steve-Riverwood it’s more a product of the number of clubs within a city and small towns having clubs. Sure, NYC metro area (~22 mil people) has 2 pro baseball teams as an example, but London has 6 premier league clubs. Even smaller urban areas in England like Liverpool (~2 mil) have 2 premier league clubs.
@GerLeahy2 жыл бұрын
There are 92 professional clubs in England. Every small sized town, medium sized town, large town and city has one football club or multiple clubs. The vast majority of these clubs are nearly 130 years old. People live and die by the clubs. The second tier league, the Championship, gets higher average attendances than the MLS. You support your local club till the grave. It's the same everywhere else in Europe.

I think it’s a good all purpose stadium, and I was there when it was the larger Olympic stadium and I thought it was good for its purpose. But as a purely football stadium it’s poor.
