Premiere! 190’/58.00m explorer yacht 2023 PINK SHADOW makes her debut in the Caribbean | 4K

SeaXplorer is a model name from the Damen Yachting Group for their explorer/expedition yachts.
The first time the name had been presented to the public was during the Monaco Yacht Show in 2015, established in 2020 with the delivery of the first sensational unit, the luxury expedition yacht ANAWA SeaXplorer has become a brand name.
She is the first representative of the new platform and design series SeaXplorer, designed by Azure Yacht Design. Due to her length of 62 meters, the shipyard brands her in marketing as 'SeaXplorer 62'.
In the same year, the larger 'SeaXplorer 77' followed shortly afterward with LA DATCHA.
The entire SeaXplorer series is polar classified, i.e. the ice-reinforced hull, like the rest of the construction, is designed for unrestricted cruising.
Now in 2023, unit number three was handed over to a customer.
PINK SHADOW was built at Damen Yachting's shipyard in Antalya, Turkey.
She is a 'SeaXplorer 58' and is not only 4 meters shorter in length compared to the ANAWA, but also slightly narrower and going less deep.
PINK SHADOW arrived in St. Maarten in the early hours of late November. It is always a special moment when such an extraordinary vessel is making its debut in the Caribbean.
The vessel has an overall length of 58.00 meters, a width of 11.00 meters, and a draft of 3.60 meters.
The yacht, designed for 12 guests and whose interior was fully custom-designed by Design Unlimited, has an impressive range of approximately 5,000 nautical miles at an average speed of 11.5 knots. This endurance is one important factor for a basis for a high degree of autonomy for traveling to far-flung corners of the world.
According to sources the interior decorations in the yacht have a more tropical accent. Also visible from the outside with louvered windows in a contrasting orange color. Wonderful!
Comment: at a later stage during my investigation about this extraordinary yacht I was learning that the philosophy in developing her interior theme was influenced by Werner Herzog's excellent movie Fitzcarraldo. One of my all-time favs! :-))

@@derrickclemons2862 Yes, Derrick. The clip has been recorded whilst she was on inbound course. A few days after the entire yacht had been completely washed down and cleaned from salt water and the green hull blended in nicely into the luscious hill of St. Maarten

Perhaps because she is an Ice-class vessel and can't be fitted with them when sailing in icy waters ?

Damen SeaXplorer yachts are equipped with Quantum stabilizers. They can be retracted for narrow passages to prevent damage.
