I know a lot of these comments get left, but I've been watching Rig Rundowns since I was a teenager newly in the grips of guitar fever. Now I'm 27, I have a kid and a mortgage, and I gotta say, these videos have gotten seriously great. Chris, John, and the rest have gone from writers who do interviews to interviewers who write. These videos started off as charming and a little awkward, but these days they are a masterclass.

Caught them in DC earlier this month- all he talked about was way over my head, BUT seeing the show and hearing him talk about his craft lifted my head to fully appreciate what he was doing on the stage. Sounded so damn good!🔥🤘🏽

Chris is just the best interviewer. Also Puscifer are amazing

Another great Rig Rundown. I wasn't familiar with Puscifer until I saw this, and Mr. Mitchell's approach to create his sound is really interesting. Thanks for the show and introducing me to their music.

It's great to learn what real pros use. Helps regular Joe's like me sound better in the clubs.

Matt’s rig and incorporation of technology with analog feels and sounds like a music tour of the 50’s “Homes of Tomorrow”.

One of my favorite bands; their album "money shot" changed everything for me; unfortunately everything being digital and programmed didn't allowed us to hear much, but nice interview! Chris is really good.

Priceless! Thanks to PG and both of you Gents. On the record, and now on the road, Mat's leveraged and honored synth history! Spectacular and reminding me--sadly--of Dave Smith's passing this year. Mat's attention to gear minds me of Adrian Belew's choices for studio work versus touring rigs. Fascinating dudes, truly, thank-you again!

Puscifer's most recent tour was one of the best show's I've ever seen. Fantastic work guys! Killer sound, too!

Great Rundown! Loved the bit about the AxeFx. It might look intimidating and complex with all the buttons and lights, but in the end the rig it reproduced in this case was basically Dirt tones: Mesa Mark C2 Cleans : Fender Vibro King Thanks Chris and Mat
@ianfurqueron58502 жыл бұрын
If you follow Leon Todd, he does a lot of quick videos about getting tones from the AxeFx. Seems like if you use the computer editor, it's a lot less intimidating.

Thanks, I really enjoyed this Rig Rundown. If you don't know the Digitech Freqout, check it out, its an old pedal & totally unique. I run a TC Mimiq on behind it as an inseparable pair.

Really enjoyed this, many new ideas for listening in more detail to guitar sounds and how to shape things and very inspirational. Really appreciate the time taken to talk through this and the lack of just 'here buy more kit guys' sort of stuff. Also yeay Fairlight involvement - curious to know if emulated versions were tried and dismissed vs real hardware. Existential Reckoning is one of the most personally significant albums I've hard (which is a harder task when you hit this many decades on the planet), and I greatly enjoyed Live At Arcosanti's sound and production, this is a great additional view behind the scenes. Thankyou.

got to see them on both legs of the existential wrecking tour and man the 2nd leg was much smoother and I could tell they found there groove it was mind blowing and is maybe the best live concert I've ever been too Maynard and carinas voices are like getting a short preview of what heaven sounds like thanks for the run down I was having problems and was thinking but now I ow for a fact it's the Waldorf iridium they used to sample the fairlight it sounded amazing I noticed at the first show I camp beside the sound guy for a couple of the last songs and noticed they were using abelton live they are really worth seeing live and I can't wait till I get the opportunity to see them again thanks for the great memories guys your the best
