Someone needs to do a rig rundown on John. He smokes like 90% of the guys he actually reviews in his rundowns, yet he's always so respectful when they show their signature guitars.

I'll second that, I'm sure JB has a few guitars/amps/pedals he'd like to talk about.

I'm a bit confused about what the effect is doing. At first I hear the vibe section affecting the volume of the guitar, but starting at around 6:20 I'm hearing it affecting the amount of fuzz being applied to the signal. Which is it? Or is it both to varying degrees? I like the idea of an LFO modulating the amount of fuzz/distortion on a guitar signal. I don't mind the missing fuzz toggle switch, but I wish there were a CV connection allowing the player to control the LFO speed via a foot pedal.

Hope I run into John at Winter NAMM. He seems like a really down-to-earth fellow. Would love meeting him and snapping a pic. His playing goes without saying.

How does it work when plugged into other pedals in the front of the amp ?

Great demo, John! I have to say though, that as a Hendrix fan, I enjoy the chorus side of a uni-vibe much better than the vibe and get a better "Machine Gun" type tone better than the vibe side. Even though I've read that he did use the vibe side. The chorus side always sounded more lush. Excellent points about this pedal. Carl Martin does make some fine tools for guitar players.

Looks like a Dunlop Blues Bottle Heavy Wall Slide No. 276

It is a (replica of a ) Coricidin bottle like Dwayne Allman used to use. Do a search and you'll see them. They are pretty thin walled though.

Both Cyborg and JerkyTreat are right. It's a Dunlop, and yes, I'm trying to cop that brother Dwayne/ Joe Walsh thing.. I learned it all from those guys, but I'll never be able to as well as they did.
