For cutting vinyl soffit on a chop saw, I've found that if you don't have a blade with a high tooth count, you can turn the blade around so it spins backwards. This way, the teeth aren't pulling on the material, but rather pushing through it.

You can use a normal saw blade just turn it around and will cut vinyl, when in a pinch.

Same with a hole saw run it in reverse to cut the vinyl then run normal through wood.
