Works great for intermittent issues or time of day specific issues. They're about 150 bucks each but I keep one on each of my service vans, well worth it.

Critically charged systems with both a TXV and receiver don't seem to be as picky with charge as a system with cap tubes or TXV (w/o receiver). At least not in my experience. In the kitchen environment, everything is not only dustlogged but greaselogged... I have dealed with some computers from restaurants where all fans and heatsinks are virtually permeated by oxidized grease droplets and dust. Power supplies in them have been rather completely gunked up sometimes. Pressurized air only moves the stuff superficially. Because water and ionic detergents are out of the question, a couple I have had to almost marinate in a low volatility petroleum based degreaser, and after that soaks in, rinse with brake cleaner. All of them have come to me with the complaint that they run five to fifteen minutes and crash. So far all have been remedied by degreasing.
@cliveramsbotty60773 жыл бұрын
just dip the whole computer in a giant vat of potting compound lol. and yeah there wouldn't be any major grease build up if they did a proper clean down every night like they're supposed to
@jussikuusela73453 жыл бұрын
@@cliveramsbotty6077 The problem is that the airborne grease droplets land in before the cleanup of surfaces takes place. Dust particles are around all the time, grease mainly when cooking takes place, and some time after. For an automotive repair shop I modded a computer case so that it got pressurized filtered air from a powerful fan, rather than taking unfiltered air through every hole and crack by vacuum. Before that the PSU was totally shot (not revivable, cheaper to replace than repair) up to twice a year with a brown fine dust from grinding, welding, and brake pads.
