I agree. 64 oz as well. Someone needs to make a stainless, wide mouth, 64 Oz canteen in a flat, flask type shape. That would be awesome.

Yeah that would solve alot of the world problems. I want to make it similar to the 64 oz military canteen so you can use the preexisting satchel Carrier

Good point about water. I got badly dehydrated once in the bush. Put me down for 24 hours and felt like the worst hangover of my life. Interesting point about safety near stream systems. I live in New Zealand and we don’t have the same amount of predatory critters that you have. Makes sense. Good canteen too 🇺🇸 🇳🇿

Thanks and yes being safe is a great part of why gear even exists. And most folk that blunder once or twice a month in the woods will Argue with me on the water system thing but I spend an inordinate amount of time in the woods and find this to simply be the case here in the south and in west VA while I was there

I agree about the 64oz of water. I carry a canteen cook set and a bottle / cup combination. I like to have my canteen to drink from while boiling and water cooling in my bottle. I can make coffee in the cup and use the canteen cup to fix food. Then one is not cold. I like to check gear during the winter. Gives time to get replacement and save up money if needed.

Pick you up a Henry in 357 with a 20" barrel.. 158g federal jaketed soft point very lethal out to 100yards. Would compliment your revolver too.

@offthecouch1999 i have a chiappa 1886 replica of a win 1886. I like it because it has the 22" barrel as opposed to some of the newer "guide" type guns. Of course a new ruger made marlin might be sweet too.

Yeah that's true. I like the 16 inch guide lignth guns. Thinking of dropping from 270 back to 357 lever. But I love my savage a bit mich to make the change. If the outfitter does well enough this year I'll buy a 20 inch ciappa
