Jamie, in my experience, buying wheat berries is very cost effective. A 5 lb bag of King Arthur All Purpose Flour from Walmart costs about $5.24 while a 5 lb portion of hard red wheat is $4.55! Also, loosely speaking, 50 pounds of wheat berries usually makes about 50 loaves of bread. I hope this helps! Great Podcast today!
