Preparing dahlia tubers for planting

Great that you enrolled to the course, this endless rain is driving me bonkers.☔ My plants are starting to protest but hopefully it'll become sunny soon. I think the weather man has a few screws loose upstairs sometimes but who knows. In my area we have a lot of rain for 8 months and then when we need it most, nothing but the odd shower for 4 months.🌦

Hi Christa! The rain was heavy today but still warm today. I had a wander around the garden before dark tonight and in the last two days a few plants have more buds! Yay! Even my roses! I might even have flowers for the wedding!!!

We are coming into our cold wet weather 😢 in fact next week we have a sunny day but that means the night temps are zero c 🥶. Today and next few days downpours ☔️☔️☔️. We had a lot of rain yesterday but thankfully no wind (so far). It wasn’t cold either and the day before was quite hot so last night hubby and I had a walk around the garden and I have lots of things just about to flower, including my roses!! I will try to sell as many excess tubers as possible and even see if people are keen on whole clumps at a discounted price, plus the mystery clumps at a bigger discount. Then finally I give away to neighbours and family, before the finally lot go on the compost. Apparently sheep like them, and cows. I should give them to them to eat!

@@bloomsonthehill6207 where not originally a veg from South America similar to our potatoes 🥔 so I would think the animals would be ok with eating them 👍👍

Hi, I put them in paper bags with some wood shavings. Hope you enroll next year!
