I have Christian friend and family (yadda, yadda, I know how it sounds). lol but I do and I love them. What I find distasteful is when a Christian cannot thank anyone without giving the credit to someone else, i.e their particular god. There are many of us who don't have gods and realize that they are not real and that the bible is just one of many myth stories from long ago that is clung to. I don't believe in it. So far they haven't used it yet but am hoping they will this year. One thing was helpful was not only having the straw in the house but also they got insulation board and put it around the sides and under the top of the bin to keep the space warm. We adopted a feral baby cat and named her Annie. When it got cold (not that cold, we lived in Key Largo) or stormy, she would sleep in our boat’s cabin. We took care of her for 15 years but couldn’t touch her. We moved to Gainesville and she couldn’t tolerate the change so our neighbor adopted her from us. Annie is 18 in human years, and still healthy and happy.

Agree. It never ceases to amaze me how people can blame the feral cat problem on the cats when it is the humans who create this problem in the first place. If everyone spay/neuter their pets, we wouldn't have so many unwanted cats at all. Unfortunately, there is no law to punish irresponsible owners to make them accountable otherwise we wouldn't continue to have idiots writing ignorant comments blaming on the cats for the feral problems.

What a caring thing to do. I thank you on behalf of the cats! The fact that you spayed and neutered shows how much you care; how very responsible of you. rubber roofing with an adhesive back makes a great material for waterproofing a cat house. rolls of rubber roofing can be purchased at your local lumber yard. this material can also be used on the sides of your cat house to protect the walls from inclement weather. when constructing the roof, make sure there is an overhang to shield the walls from falling rain. also make sure the cat houses are raised to insure that water isn't seeping in from the bottom. good luck!

FIVER CATS: Great video.....love the houses. One thing you could add is a "Snugglesafe" in each house. You can buy them on Amazon and are very affordable (cheap actually). They are a hard plastic disc that you put in the microwave for five minutes. It heats up the element inside and stays warm for 8-12 hours. You could put that under the hay to also help warm the beds. It's not a fire hazard since the outer coating is such a hard, thick plastic. They even come with a little cover.

Could pit shingles all around!

Connie, if you get the cats used to eating at a specific time each day, they are usually there waiting for you. You can put the food down and remove it within half an hour. This ensures that there's no leftover food that will attract other wildlife. Raccoons are particularly dangerous to kittens, so when possibly, be careful to remove excess food as soon as possible after the cats are done eating. Good luck!
