Hi I'm about to lay my cement board but I'm so confused on adhesive to use Some people & say don't use glue, some say just use liquid nails Videos say use Thinset but nobody knows what i'm talking about So what brand name did you use please? Is Thinset the same as tile adhesive, just thinner layer? Thanks

Gyprock Stud Adhesive it’s called. Mostly used for plastering walls. Stud adhesive replaces nails (mostly) when plastering walls or ceilings. I’ve never seen it used for tile underlay sheeting, but that shit is insanely robust on any material, but I would say to use it in addition to nails is an awesome idea!

If it's going onto hardwood floor , no glue is needed , just nails. Ply or particle board you must use dabs of stud adhesive at 150 centres plus nails

You can actually download all the manuals for free from most suppliers and the manufacturers will have their recommended fasteners and fixing methods to follow depending on your application

@@hollandparkhouse, I believe the advice of a reputable builder with many decades of onsite experience is the most accurate and valuable source of information you will find . Many "KZbinrs" don't actually have qualifications..... or at least , dont show any sign of it in their videos 🙄🤨🤔
