I found your channel prior to a cruise. I'm happy you shared these videos. I'm scheduled for a TAH on 08/22. I have had 3 cesareans so mine will be through the incision. I'm nervous but it will be worth it for my menses issues.

Thanks for all of your videos of your journey. I have my first appointment with an oncological GYN this week (no cancer in biopsy, but being extra cautious with extra testing during the surgery), and going through your journey has been a great education for me to feel confident and educated for the meeting, and I'm ready to get this going (I have endometrial hyperplasia). So thank you so much for putting this on video for everyone to learn from!

Hello, I'm new here as of today 8/27/2020, and I loved all of the information you gave. My surgery is next Friday, September 4th, so I guess you can say I stumbled across your channel at the right time. I'm so glad I took the time to watch and take notes, because this is my first surgery ever. I'm a wife, a mother of 2 daughters age 25 & 14, hence the gap, I was told at 27 to have this surgery and refused until I had my miracle baby, now I'm 45, let's just say no more babies have came in 14 years but the pain and bleeding haven't stopped 😭. Anyone and everyone who can and will please keep me in your thoughts and prayers for the next 2 months, I know I'm gonna drive my Hubby crazy 🤦🏿♀️😂

I have a big stomach. The belly band/abdominal binder helped keep my stomach from bouncing/stretching when I walked. Maybe for a skinnier person it isn't necessary? For me, it was a lifesaver.

Nope not true, I have never been over weight, after my full hysterectomy july 6 2021 I had to have a white binder, hated and got a black one
@happycook67373 жыл бұрын
@@RavenNo.5 I'm so sorry you needed one too! I was hopeful thin ladies didn't need them. A black one sounds perfect! The white one discolored and not many choices in my size. A kind patient donated a binder they had ordered online to my oncology group and then it was given to me. I was so thankful because with the Covid supply chain interruption I couldn't seem to order the right one as back ordered. Need 1 to wear and extra for washing. Bless that kind soul.

I was told yesterday I would need to have one for mine. They are large and history of blood clots prevents the medicine being an option and the IUD wouldn’t take due to the position and size of my fibroids. Nervous cause I joked saying well I don’t need so just take it and now that they do I’m like wait. Glad I found your video

Enjoyed the information on the video😊. Funny story, on the evening before my myomectomy surgery, I had to take this powder called Go Lightly. It's a powder you put in water, stir it and drink it😝. The doctor wanted to make sure I was clean and clear before surgery. Please believe the solution DOES NOT MAKE YOU GO LIGHTLY, it makes you GO FURIOUSLY....LOL😂😂😂😂. But I was "clean as a whistle" the next morning for my surgery. Just a lol something to make y'all LAUGH😅😅😅😅😅....y'all have a good one!

That Go Lyte-Ly is a misnomer. The first time I took it for a colonoscopy. It took a good while for it to start working and I thought I did something wrong. No....it started and it was rough, real rough!!!!

I had same instructions as you but not the Gatorade. Had to use Hybiacleanse to wash body several nights before surgery. Even though I bought a dye free version from Walgreens, it still gave me an allergy rash. Lol glad it's over.

Hi Lynette, I'm new to your channel and found your channel by doing some research. 🙂 Thank you so much for being so transparent with you hysterectomy journey, I to have to get one done and wondered did you have to get a shot to shrink the fibroids before surgery? My Dr is giving me a shot called Lupena and it is used for shrinking the fibroids before surgery. I have to get 2 of them which will put my surgery out until February of 2021 because they last for 3 months. I just want to know if this was part of your experience?
