I tried ice skating once and saw the sky more than I saw the ice. I just wasn't made for skating on ice. You're skating is very impressive. I believe Sweden has the best skaters in the world.

I lived for a year off the grid in backwoods Eastern Maine, in a small frame cabin, wood stove, gas lights we installed or kerosene lamps, outhouse and natural spring water that flowed from behind the meadow through a handpump at the kitchen sink. I wanted to be there, and adored the retreat and closeness of nature as we eventually snowshoed a mile into the cabin in midwinter. My sweetie at the the time didn't like it much, and we went our separate ways by summer. No internet, no drone, 35 years ago, only a party line phone, and neighbors a mile away. It was lonely, and beautiful. I love your storytelling and videos of your unfolding, low-tech life. Why not? Choose how you want to live in this world, or the world chooses for you. Thank you for sharing your journey of discovery in beautiful Sweden. I love the gentleness and respect in your family, for one another and your animals. Best wishes to you both.

I love little Ivar's rosy checks and nose. He must really sleep well with all that fresh air. I went on youtube to see if there are videos on how to make the little yard birds. There are so many. For the wreaths I recommend holding the branches over a fire for a bit. It will soften it and make it flexible again

Beautiful wreath!!! Love the evergreen. I discovered that placing my twigs for my forms in a mason jar of water overnight helps with flexibility. This year in Minnesota USA ( superior national forest ) we have experienced a year of early ice before the snow. Make our lakes beautiful for skating as well.
