Preparing for cold weather, chicken coop, hen house

With very cold weather coming we decided to add insulated panels to the hen house to help block the wind.

Hi Robert. Yes we got it on just in time. It was 65 degrees last week and dropped to 2 degrees this week! Crazy weather. The snow and ice is causing all kinds of issues here because we have small mountains and little in the way of snow removal equipment. We usually don’t need it here, but this week it has never warmed up enough to melt off. Hope you are staying safe and warm where you live!😊👍

We have had a lot of requests for plans. We would have to adapt the measurements for standard boards since ours were full 2xs that we cut on our mill. If we get time we will try to make some plan’s available. Thanks for watching 😊👍

Thanks! We are blessed to be so close to this lake! It’s only 4 miles from our home and is almost completely surrounded by national forest. It has about a thousand miles of shore line and tons of little islands that you can camp on. Thanks so much for watching!😊

Cinda very good photography you did on that one and good job on the chickens house hey its 85f hear today and yesterday was 100f or about 37c that might warm you up hahah Lance look old in that hat and scruffy beard but hey keeps him warm its ok

It’s a golf ball😂😂The hens prefer to lay in a box that already has an egg or other round thing in it. You can buy fake eggs, but an old golf ball works just as well. We are kind of cheap😂🤣
