I'm so thankful to have found this channel. I stopped playing two years ago, and watching Rednas was the only way I kept in touch with Genshin. In the beginning of the month I reinstalled, granted it was because of Sander's influence. Regarding the perceived randomness of the elemental application at 7:00 and 7:30. It's actually very consistent and pretty neat. Genshin has a system called Internal Cooldown (aka. ICD), which decides when attacks get to apply their specific element. These usually boil down to "No ICD" or "Standard ICD" (There are more, but not very relevant here). No ICD means that every attack applies the element, and Standard ICD is either 2.5 seconds between the attacks or 3 hits. For example, Nahida. Her skill and charged attack have no ICD, while her normal attacks are grouped together and are Standard ICD. So if you just use Nahidas normal attacks quickly, she will apply Dendro on her first and last hit. (Since she has a 4 hit combo). And if you do your attacks very slowly, you will get the 2.5 second rule. To quickly destroy the electro shards, you can do something like 1 normal attack into charged attack, cancelled with a dash into skill. This will instantly destroy 1 shard. While your skill is on cooldown for the second shard, you can just do 2 sets of 1 Normal attack into charged attack into dash (Nahidas charged attack can be dash cancelled almost instantly after she starts casting it, which makes this even faster) And then do the 3rd shard like the first.

I figured about ICD (even though not knowing the terms for it in genshin) having playing runescape for so long I'd usually call it "tick speed", this explanation definitely shines some light on it~

​@@RednasYo ​ That is not what I meant, ideally you want to avoid the 2.5 second rule and try to trigger the 3 hit rule instead. So I just thought sending you a video of me doing it would be clearer. While making it, I realized that my original combo used too much stamina, so I changed that part anyway. You inspired me to see how quickly Nahida could destroy some shards, lol. 9:55 This is actually a really good point. I always have no weapon xp resources in HSR and am forced to farm for it multiple times a week, even tho I have way less weapons built than in Genshin. In Genshin, I always have 1,000s of extra crystals as resources to use for leveling up weapons. I understand Genshin has been out for a few years longer than HSR, but this does not account for the extreme discrepancy. The difference is that in Genshjn you can mine for ores to freely exchange for weapon exp resources (there is a daily cap limit cap, but it is rather large to the point of being unnoticeable on most days), and in HSR there is no equivalent system for the player to gather free weapon exp resources. Technically, 2 other systems also exist in Genshin for the player to gather weapon exp resources cheaply; the player could also farm 1 and 2 star weapons From “investigating” the points on the map where artifacts sometimes drop, and the player can also buy 2 star weapons from the several forges all over the world map. Genshin also drops weapons more frequently from chests than HSR does (although rarely, sometimes lightcones do rarely drop from chests in HSR)

I used to run out of Light Cone exp in the beginning, but once I got done leveling all the lower rarity LCs that were worth leveling I ended up with an excess, to the point I regret farming for that stuff during the early game

I don't even feel slow pace. Somehow there was always something for me to do in the game. And returning to finally finish exploring Sumer and the new Liyue is still waiting. Not to mention the character upgrades. Now I'm really excited about Natlan. Waiting for new characters and new areas to explore. Plus so many positive improvements and bonuses, sounds like a completely new game!

The HP double crit sands on Noblesse would actually be great for Chev since she heals/buff based on her HP ! She doesn't need that much ER since her burst is cheap and also can hold a weapon for energy (Fontaine craftable, the magical girl staff, Fav) and can have Fischl, Egg or the 2 other pyro make enough energy for her anyway (if played in her overload team setup). If not with HP weapon, she more or less needs triple HP mainstat to achieve 40k (max of her atk/overload buff), and ER just being on each artifact is mostly enough for her (like 120ish%). Crits and attack on substats will allow her to still do some damage even as a support !!

25:28 songs of days past is actually a decent set for Chevy, Charlotte, and Xianyun, and can be fine for Barbara, Baizhu, Dori, Kokomi, Sigewinne, Qiqi or Yaoyao depending on the active DPS on your team. This set was especially interesting out of convenience, because many players would already be farming the Nighttime Whisperers set for Navia in the same domain, anyways. An ideal circumstance for the Songs set to shine is when teams already have a Noblesse character. In some cases, the Clam set is more powerful than it if it provides a larger damage increase to the overall team than Songs of Days Past. The Songs set is a more useful healing set than the Clam set when your active DPS is a non-Attack scaling character like Itto or Neuvillette.

7:00 ICDs already got explained in the comment, so I'd like to add they are the reason why Xiangling is always in the meta and will only leave if Hoyo introduce 5* Xiangling. Her Pyronado doesn't have an ICD. :) 11:44 As long as all you want from Zhongli is his shield, that's fine. It's literally his best weapon, and we still don't have anything better for a shield build. The closest weapon to it is the "Dialogues of the Desert Sages", but HP% bonus is lower and secondary effect is as useless. And it's an event weapon. 23:40 In the long run, both 10% to craft extra and 25% to refund 1 resource are pretty close. 25% just feels better to use. :) 24:52 Level 1 Tortellini. Nice! XD
