I think the first time you get on lean, you'll find everything on that Lazy Susan will be all over the cabinet. Maybe a round soft sided basket might solve the problem.

I think there was water in the utensil holder because you may have a water leak in that cabinet. As evidenced by the dark stains on the bottom of the cabinet

Hey Sophie, Ryan and cutie Barnicle great episode. I have a suggestion for the cabinet of Death, because I had one too. I got two pairs of draw slides, cut out the shelves then attached them to the slides etc, with a little bit of sanding, swearing and screwing I'm now a very happy boatie.🤣😂😃 Polar Seal looks fantastic, ready for sale even, I meant Sail. Ryan epic job with the electrics mate great job. Thanks hugs for Barnie 🐕🌈 gotta say the audio and picture quality is excellent.

Polar Seal looks fantastic!! We have the double magnet knife setup that we installed and they have NEVER moved. I had two questions, 1. What wireless microphones are you using? Audio is fantastic 2. Can you share the info on Barnacles carry one crate? Our little Archie I think would like what you use much better.
@dearyvettetn4489 Жыл бұрын
Here for the marine interior cleanup and design ❤ I’m not sure why knives on a strong magnet would be considered unsafe on a boat? I had no intention of chucking out my IKEA magnet bar when I make my liveaboard move but I am glad to learn that those magnet are strong enough to hold through the plastic sheaths. All those pretty colors on that bar look so satisfying 😌

A full extension drawer slides would bring the "locker of death" back to live. It would reduce the total amount of stuff you could stuff in there but everything in there would get used far more.

The pot handle you showed can be purchased at almost any sporting/camping goods store, it will be similar in the way it works but will most likely be silver and made of aluminum. About $10.

To keep your boat affordable, water access and a place to haul it home is ideal. The problem is where do you find land and home that is both near the water and affordable? How do you dodge the Martha's Vineyard price tags?

Very useful things that can assist Cooking, and can keep food Hot or Cold, are Vacuum Food Flasks. Unfortunately as yet I haven't come across any that can keep food hot for over 12 hours. The ones that are Stainless steel inside are fine on a Boat, and 12 hours is fine for having food that is still hot through a night watch. They work well with things like Porridge for breakfast, and Walmart powdered nick is as good as the best in the World, if you aren't Scottish and like milky Porridge, just add Sugar or honey to taste, pour boiling water on top of the contents in a pre warmed Food Flask and shake, same with dehydrated Pasta in Sauce, chop up Chorizo Sausage to add and shake. Coffee on a boat ? Beats me why people even consider using Coffee machines tbh. Get a single Skin Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Cafetiere (not the twin wall they wear out fast ) and get a few extra Plunger filters as spares as they do wear out, and just buy the ground Coffee you like - the bags that are resealable keep the ground Coffee good for up to a few months once opened, and it saves buying a Coffee bean grinder. They are pretty much zero maintenance and no glass to break. A large Cafetieres single wall cost me under £22 from Amazon in the UK. Bob. 👍⛵️✨️✨️✨️

Hi guys. Yes Comfort Onboard is Critically important, as it is a huge assist for The Safety of the Boat and Everyone on it. I've not seen them personally, but Tim of Lady K Sailing Channel Swears by Walmart Menory Foam top Mattresses as very comfortable and No problem to cut to shape to suit the bed. Usual Caveat with Boat mattresses, a Waterproof Cover for the mattresses is vital, to prevent Seawater getting into them, as they are a pita to flush the salt out to be able to get them to dry properly after. But, I haven't been able as yet, to find a soft and comfy waterproof mattress Cover which really sucksMayne there's an over bed solution that won't be a nightmare to try to sleep under in hot places ? I suppose a when underway option would be just to put a lightweight waterproof Tarp over the Bedding, and somehow make sure to remember to put them in place, on a To Do list before setting off ? That would be the cheapest option and at the bottom of that list, close all hatches and portholes. Best Wishes and Fair Winds. Bob in Wales still. 👍⛵️✨️✨️✨️

Sophie, I kind of wondered if eventually you would crawl into that cabinet entirely, leaving the camera stare at a blank entry, and then Ryan comes along eventually, says he is looking for something, also crawls in, comes out 5 minutes later with what he was looking for and wondering where you may be.

Polar Seal is looking Great 👍 Someone mentioned you are heading to NYC ? Beware, under no Circumstances whatsoever, must you Sail Around New York Harbour at Night. Making that intake Cost me my last Boat, thanks to the Wrecking Gang Wirking the Harbout, which lost me almost everything I had in the World, and which has left me without a Boat to this Day. If I ever make it back there, I'll have at least two Sub Machine guns on Board, and will be looking for Payback. They have killed so many people, and wrecked so many boats, Retribution needs to be heading their way. A Still Angry Bob. 👍⛵️✨️✨️✨️

Well. When you live onboard, your goal is mostly to get the boat in a place where it does not move all the time. It’s a couple of months and a few hundred miles of ocean sailing, and it’s been really good! :)
