That is looking awesome. You can lighten the color just by setting it out in the sun.

We're way beyond that stage, unfortunately. As mentioned: the case has been Retr0Brited several times and has now yellowed agressively both inside and out, with a nasty streaking effect on the exterior that doesn't really show up well on camera. Painting is a permanent solution to the problem.

Can you share the paint color you use for painting the cream colored portion of the case? My 800XL is badly yellowed and I'd like to try your painting solution to freshen it up.

I'll be using Painter's Touch 'Heirloom White' in a satin finish. The brown shade (if needed) is 'Espresso', also Painter's Touch in satin.

A quick tally: I think two XEGS, three 1200XLs (after this one's gone), one working 1200XL motherboard for which I need a case (keyboard desirable, but optional), seven or eight XEs, five 800XLs and four 600XLs. So a little over twenty, I'd say, plus three STs.
