So, its hard to adventure without the appropriate kit.. So come along as I go check out some tents (midlife excitement or what!). I could also do with some advice from you all regarding luggage, so please drop in the comments if you've got something to add.
Enjoy, and I'll see you on the next one. JW

Check your tent dimensions within your panniers bud. You'll be surprised the volume your tent, mat, sleeping bag, collapsible stool, cooking stuff takes. Longer trips you also have to allow for tools, tubes etc. Kriega should be fine for 3 to 4 day trips. As a long distance adv bike. I've ridden mine around Scandinavia, Spain, Turkey. All from the UK. 80mph on motorways is fine, it's not too vibey and you don't get blown away by lorries. Alpkit sleeping bags are good quality. Insulated sleeping matt for the UK and any mountainous areas. Also check the weight of your tent, you'll be staggered in the difference. 21000 miles and still motoring. Non power up version. Don't need it green laning. Rallying or racing maybe a different matter.

I've got the moskomoto reckless 80 for my round the world ride. It is a serious bit of kit. I learnt about mosko from RTWpaul.

rhinowalk panniers do the job at a budget. I've used them for a couple of TET trips and I will use them for an upcoming long trip

You can safely mount most of the rackless systems on the bare fender. I've done it with a prototype of Ironclad rackless bags, bashed the bike through Hungarian TET (crashing a couple of times) for a week and now I've done it with Red Mamuth V-bag which I recommend for you. Cheaper than Mosko, has 40l, 60l (which I bought) and 80l variants and the top finish quality. I can proof all of that with photos, send me a DM if interested :) I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds rear racks ugly!

Yes but the stock exhaust sounds really ugly, like a 125cc chinese moped. I'm in the process of an experiment called "How to improve PR7 sound without spending 2500EUR and going stupidly loud". Wish me luck :D

My bike has the power-up. The guy I bought it from included a small baffle in the pipe. It’s not too loud at all.

Have 15k on my PR7. Have found no need to get the power up kit. Kriega OS kit is a better solution.

@@James_Rides Have you tried a local exhaust shop? They should be able to bend you up a nice stainless header to suit.
