Butter Chicken
12 boneless, skinless chicken thighs cut up
3 cups heavy cream
3 cups tomato sauce
1 onion chopped
10 tbsp butter
2 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp chopped ginger
3 tsp chili powder
3 tsp cumin
2 tbsp garam masala
Saute the onion and chicken in butter in the instant pot. Add all other ingredients and cook on high pressure for 12 minutes. We added fresh spinach at the end! We like it on brown rice.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Fish Curry
3 pounds fish fillets (tilapia, cod, etc.)
2 16 oz. bags mixed frozen vegetables
1 large can crushed tomatoes
2 14 oz. cans coconut milk
1 heaping tbsp curry powder
1 tsp salt
Place fish in the bottom of the slow cooker, top with frozen vegetables. Mix all other ingredients together and pour over the fish and vegetables. Cook on high for 3-4 hours. Mix together to break fish up. We like it on brown rice!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Quiche
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup milk
4 eggs
8 ounces cheese (we like mozzarella or pepper jack for spice)
About 4 cups frozen spinach squeezed out to dry as much as possible
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp white pepper
Pre-made crust
Mix all ingredients together and pour into a pie shell. Bake at 400 degrees for 50 minutes with foil on top. Bake an additional 10 minutes without the foil. We love this one topped with hot sauce! Well... most of us. Also, we quadruple this one and usually have leftovers which heat up so well in the microwave for quick breakfasts!

Love how Solo is hands on with every thing your so lucky Sarah. Im impressed to see your boys helping in the kitchen as well as the girls its so important for boys to be able to feed themselves and not depend on take out. Both my boys, grown up now, can cook thank goodness. I make a crustless Quiche, called Shaky Quiche, it all goes in a Lock n Lock, you shake, then pour into quiche dish it never fails and so quick and its so easy. Love fish curry was taught this when I lived in Fiji for a while. Great video thank you for bringing us into your home.

This all looks so good! Can’t wait to try the butter chicken recipe! Sara- Did you know if you cook your beans in the instant pot they don’t need to be soaked? I made a white bean soup last week with a ham bone. Started by sautéing onion and celery in the bottom of the IP in a little oil (I use Avocado oil) then added garlic and sautéed a little more. Then pop the ham bone in, salt, pepper, dry parsley, garlic powder and dry mustard to taste. Add water. Pressure cook for 90 minutes. Allow to natural release (approx 20 min) 3/4 c. Chopped onion 3/4 Chopped celery 1 T minced garlic 1/4 c oil Ham bone with meat on it Additional cubed ham (optional) 3/4 c chopped carrots (optional) 16 oz dried navy beans 1 t salt 1t pepper 1T garlic powder 1/4 c dried parsley flakes 1 t dried mustard 8 C water This was honestly some of the best soup ever- With no soaking beans. I didn’t believe it at first, but beans were thoroughly cooked.

instead of tv dinners i used to make my own. a full meal that you just microwave. when my kids were in school and i was working full time , as a single parent, they are good and no mess. i used to use my weekends to prepare them. i did this for a neighbor who was elderly and had surgery. she wasn't eating the meals on wheels so i made her my homemade tv dinners. she loved it of course as it wasn't a premade precook food.

Perfect teamwork! Thanks Belle! Everyone on kitchen duty did awesome! You got off easy, Sarah, but coordinating counts! You need a marstro’s baton to set it all to music! Your meals look like winners and boy do I ever need to get some prepping done! I saw another poster uses Carrie A Elle’s pronto outs fir meal preps and it’s a one time $5 to get so many helpful sheets you can print out if not using the computer. Freezer , pantry, fridge inventories, spice inventory. Shopping list, menus, preps. Good stuff! Congrats on this prepping!

I meal prep weekly, yet shop once a month. What I do to is set up my immediate weeks foods in baskets as I empty the bags, then I set those in the fridge for each meal until I am ready to cook. For meals that will go in the freezer for the next few weeks, I break down any meats and place all ingredients that can be frozen in baskets or ziplocks, label and freeze. I pull all the baskets/ziplocks out on Thursday, place in fridge to start defrosting, the Saturdays are my prep days and baking days. I have been doing this since my kids were little, now grown adults. Once you get into a rhythm that works for you, things get easier and faster! I am enjoying your posts.

I like how your boys helped even though it was because they were fighting they didn't have a bad attitude (away from the camera at least). Your parenting skills have produced such lovely children. God has selected both you and Solo to represent him here on Earth onKZbin and then he blessed a lot of us by showing us where your channel is. I don't have any children due to illness but I used to dream about having a family of my own. Watching your channel helps me to feel apart of the world and your KZbin family. Bless you all, as always you are in my thoughts and prayers. Xx

If you ever forget to thaw your cheese and it's stuck in a blob/block like that just run it over your cheese grater! It works like a charm! That's my go to when I forget to thaw my cheese even though it's already shredded it definitely saves time on waiting on those oopsie days where you forgot to take it out in time!

I love these videos. Even as the parent of one, meal prep can be a must. As a tip, i keep a rubber mallet in the kitchen that i use to "defrost" cheese, and it works to tenderize meat too! The roast sounds sooo good right now. It is cold here in MN, so warm meals like that are always welcome. I love leftovers of roast shredded and made into bbq beef. Love your family! Thank you for all the recipes and inspiration.

Whether it’s with the little ones, or cooking, or whatever it is you guys need help with. It touches me to see just how well rounded they are. You both are raising some awesome kids and even with the chaos you guys manage to maintain a very calm attitude. You both should be so proud at the parents you turned out to be. It shows in your children. It’s truly admirable and inspires me to be more present and calm with my children. So thank you. 💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️ BTW I VOTED!!!!

You inspire me! I really need to take one day and meal prep to make the rest of the week easier. I work outside the home 5 days a week and the kids have activities several nights a week (2 nights we don’t even get home until 8:30-ish) and most nights feel hectic and not relaxing at all! This would help me so much!

One thing I like about prepping ahead of time is...well...when I make a prep-heavy meal..i often just don't feel like eating it because it was so much work! Whereas if I make it the day before or make it and freeze for another time, the hard work is a more distant memory or something and I enjoy it so much more. This is often the reason I prep (there's only two of us!) - that and fitting it around work and other responsibilities so we still eat healthyish.

Tip! Put a frozen solid roast with seasoning in a crock pot on low in the morning. Perfect roast by evening

Good Parents! They fight...make them come in a work together! I took a page from your book the past weeks. I prepped 2 weeks of meals for my family of 5. 7 meals for 14 days (enough for leftovers) It feels sooooo good!

You seem like you work well under pressure! Meals going , kids being kids, and all the other stuff. I think that’s something I need to work on. Staying calm and collected and getting it done. Lol
