Bad Chad

12 күн бұрын

Everybody needs a haircut... including our 1933 Plymouth. So we're going to mark out where Bad Chad plans on making the cuts to chop the roof plus make the final chassis revision. Where the chassis has been Z'd, the lines are too sharp for our liking so we're going to cut it out and put a rounded piece back in. Do you think it looks better or worse? BONUS episode: • Look what we found at ...

Doug is getting very good in the shop, he is getting good at cutting and welding now, it a pleasure to watch him help build the cars, not just a garage cleaner getting all the shitty jobs cleaning under cars, doing jobs no one else wants to do, and he never complained once, lovely guy to have in the shop, along with Rotor Arm 😂

Chad + Jolene, Nice frame improvement! The body is rusty and slightly dinged up so no worries on the chop! I really don't get your critics. The Ford was a major project and thanks to Floyd it's coming to a beautifully finished completion! The Hudson is running and ready for final parts. The Hot Wheels is fully realized but needs bits to finalize. How many cars can two and a half guys complete in 6 months! Nathan and Doug are not fulltime! Back off downer boys and go build your own "superior" cars, this shop is really impressive! Cheers all around!

Team Hiltz working on the frame somemore. Chad & Doug the frame looks much better with the frame flowing instead of the abrupt cut & joining of the frame. Floyd has that headliner looking really good as well! Jolene did a great job on the video & the production work as well! It sounded like Fina has a lot of vistors to inspect!

I have a 1933 Plymouth coupe street rod with original frame, parallel leaf springs and a small block Chevy engine. I prefer the original body style as I just love the lines of the original coupe. I've been running it without front fenders or hood, which to me is the old time hot rod look.

Chop is perfect for this classic 30s coupe. I do hope you retain the small back windows on the sides. They are a special signiature look. Actually as you chop those side windows, how about converting them to round "port holes" - like on a 56 Tbird hard top. You might even be able to find some cheap, generic round port holes for custom builders. Or use a port hole made by a major maunfacture for replacements. I can imagine that T bird style top would be eye catching on this. Not too redical, more subtle, clean style that looks great.

chassis looks much better without the "Z" bend.... smoother curves :) Compass usually has a pen or marker on one leg and a point on the other for drawing circles...... Dividers on the other hand have a point on each leg for measuring and maintaining distances.... you are using it as dividers to keep parallel lines.....

chassis top look much better. actually flows like it should. Chad, have you thought of leveling the firewall cowl? (where the fenders & hood would normally cover the cowl) This would give it a smooth look and hide the change of metal height across the front of the car. I know of no one doing this & it would give it a fresh look with the chop. you could bead roll it to tie in the body lines already on the car.

Love the new look of the chassis, I know I said I wouldn't do thing like Chad does but you know...they always come to where they need to be in the end. Keep up the great content

He has mentioned doing that on a previous car dunno which one though the guy has got talent but seems to be sticking to the same formula with the builds but as they say it’s his vehicle to do what he wants with

you could use the plasma cutter to cut a slot in the top to see what is in there.

It’s official. Chad bought a two story house and decided to chop the top and turn it into a ranch style house.

chase the frame cuts with a small air powered body saw....keep from prying and hammering...faster I would think.

Chad , Jolene and Doug, the 1934 Plymouth Frame is really coming together well. I really like your plan in lowering the roof but keeping the great look in the meantime. Jolene is going to have a whale of a time driving and racing this car built by Chad and mechanically set up by Super Nate.
