To get away from being tracked in the woods, get on solid ground. Rocks or water both help in evading somone tracking you. But roads are better. Paved or concrete. If you can't get to paved roads make sure you don't brake branches. Do some double backing on your trail or run into a circular motion a few times to confuse a tracker. Make false trails and double back. And tie branches and leaves to your feet. Stay away from mud or sand.

Takes too much time. I assume you know you're being followed because you can hear them, that's too close for all that crazy stuff.
@billjensen6216
@billjensen6216 Ай бұрын
@EndIsNigh-e4l I'm not saying you have to do all of these at the same time. You are assuming that. You are also assuming that the person or people fallowing you are within a short distance from you. People have this built-in skill called situational awareness. It's a skill that if you don't use it you can lose it. You know when you feel the hair on the back of your neck standing up and don't know why. That is your body telling you something isn't right. Example for you. The feeling when a cop pulls you over for speeding or something that you have done wrong. Like a burning feeling in your leg or part of your leg. Or some other body part. If you pay attention to that feeling and work on that skill, you can detect a cop before you get to it. Like a human radar detection device. When I was in the Army, my unit played a game we called hunt the hunter. We played this against another unit. You would be amazed at how many got caught/captured. On both teams. Pay attention to your surroundings and your gut feelings and natural instincts. The hardest tracker to avoid in 99% of the cases is someone who knows how to use their learned skills and forces you into going against your own instincts. Hunters that aren't lazy and just sitting in a blind or shack. The ones that actually get out and use their skills.

If you're being tailed, tracked or followed, (and you know it), do NOT walk into a stream, do NOT circle around, and do NOT start scaling the side of a mountain, lol. If you're in the know, you give that advantage up by trying to evade, the follower will know at that point that you know you're being tracked, they will be more alert. My advice would be to go around the nearest hill, so they lose sight of you, try not to leave tracks, lay in wait and size up whoever it is, as they come around the hill. Same goes for any environment, find something to go around, a truck, house, building, ect. Never give up an advantage.

@@EndIsNigh-e4l your answer was very helpful and gave me some ideas. Where I'm from, it's perfectly flat, brown, and dry, and there's rarely a hill or anything to provide cover. But I would at least be looking for those things or for a ravine or a patch of mesquite or brambles to get behind and then employ your tactics.

We are all being tailed, tracked and followed. That’s why all the apps are “free” We are the product and the central gub’ment no longer even bothers with warrants. Massive systemic change is coming. Which way is (maybe) still to be determined.

Familiar with earth structures?My idea is to use a large sailboat with the keel removed and a attic door setup put in it's place, the sailboat would be used for a living quarters and water collection.A underground quarters would be part of the build, the surrounding area would be a multi level, railroad ties and earth garden which could incorporate, solar panel system that would slide out of parts of the garden and I would have the teared garden run into a greenhouse which would have a hidden garage where I would have the four wheelers and a dune buggy, water collection would be for the gardening and consumption,there are so many variables and I know nothing about architecture but schools can't teach imagination.😊

For substitute sand bags use softener salt bags, dog food bags etc. you would probably need to fill them in position of use as lifting the bottom might give out.

I would say .. let’s not forget that any criminal/marauder worth his salt would probably case out the place for a day or two, just to see what they’re up against. So having alarms and or community systems in place to help recognize/mitigate these threats would greatly help.

Love Randy's grounded approach and insights. Would love to hear more everyday advice from him on home security. Hardly anyone here can afford to pour 20,000 PSI concrete or have the knowhow but many will likely deal with unrest and home burglaries by small groups or individuals looking to cause harm. Thanks

I’m going to make my home look abandoned, I’ve got an escape system from my basement, up thru a wall to the outside. To the woods and a creek system that I can lose my scent to. Have all my food, ammo, buried outside in caches, if I have to run. My food isn’t in the house, but buried near the creek system. Good luck y’all, looks like, come November, it’ll be time to party.

I don't know that I can afford anything to really build a structure so I was thinking of going with using large containers and basically digging a hole in the ground. I won't get into it because it'll be too long an explanation but if I can move to a place that had its own little survival shelter bunker that would consider it. I would try to provide as much protection and covers I can buy Scavenging for materials and then of course there's the lay of the land you know in so many factors. I don't like to think of firearms as the ultimate survival tools but they're just necessary because if you need them you got to have them and you got to have plenty of ammo

This message is to fellow Christians. Please stop conflating adopting a preparedness mindset lifestyle with “ye of little faith” Every single great hero in the Holy Bible was preparedness oriented. Whether storing grain, selling cloaks for swords or moving 1/3rd of their army before taking down Jericho in one of the most amazing displays of battlefield faith in human history. Remember even Jesus Himself used the simple preparation of a humble lunch to feed the multitudes. Same with clay casks obediently filled with water at the wedding feast.
